I germinate in solo cups till they pop grow to 2-3 sets of true leaves then transplant in final containers - let them make roots in final container, Hey have found out that a soil "innoculant" makes a great difference in rooting at present only two companies make it one is Pro-Mix and the other is called DynoMyco. MY yields increased greatly. There are some side-by-side grows (GrowDiaries) using this product - will never go without using an innoculant again

And roots organic makes one as well , which I used in all of them when I planted them yesterday, it's called Oregonism XL . I put a teaspoon directly on the root site as advised they also have a couple of nutrients that are safe for seedlings to add to your feed water, which I also have done, turned it the color of sweet tea, but every one of my seeds popped same day spraying them with it, and the one above ground plant SEEMS to be growing a little faster now.
