I just finnished a Vanilla Kush grow. The seed company said the seeds would finish in 7 to 8 weeks. At eight weeks since the plants started showing thier sex the plants looked good enough to harvest however they were still getting new growth and the trikes were not quite ready. I ended up flowering for almost 16 weeks.
This is by far the best smoke I have ever grown or smoked! I got a little over a pound of buds on 4 plants grown indoor in my closet!
I am posting this because on my first 4 grows I harvested closer to the seed companies recomended time frame and I think that influenced me to harvest too soon even though the trikes were getting cloudy and amber.
For my future grows I am going to error on the long side for flower process. The extra time gives you alot more bud weight and more potency.
