A cheap and easy way for me to add Co2 to a closet grow I did years back was simply to take a ceramic bowl and fill it half full of baking soda. You can then take one of the large plastic jugs of white vinegar, punch a small hole in the bottom with a thumb tack (do it over the sink and let the pressure out).
Providing you never open the top, the vinegar will drip very slowly into the bowl of baking soda, creating small Co2 explosions regularly... then just change out the baking soda bowls as they come closer to neutral in PH... I was changing mine out every 2 days or so... this method gave me just a big enough spike in Co2 to put me where I wanted to be.
