Which reminds me I need to work on longer term storage for my seeds, now that I have enough to last me for quite a while.

I would... your humidor likely keeps your stogies between 68% and 74% relative humidity (70% is optimum), and you'd want a much lower RH figure for seed storage.

The latter, of course. He did, after all, request a single-malt. Make mine a Glenmorangie Signet (I never cared much for Lagavulin). Unless you've just successfully knocked off a rich relative and are celebrating the fact that you're in his/her will, lol - in which case, I would love to sample a Bowmore 1961 (aged 50 years) treasure or even a <GASP!> Dalmore 50.

@TorturedSoul im storing them in a jar in the fridge now. I didn’t worry too much at first because I figured I would be using up all my seeds within a year. Now that I have a seed buying addiction....sorry, now that I have a private seed bank, I switched up the long term storage. I’m not comfortable putting them in the freezer just yet. The outdoor fridge doesn’t always stay frozen, so I don’t want to risk them getting frozen and thawed too many times.

No, I would never pay more than the price of a new car for a bottle of Scotch (or much of anything else, for that matter). The cost of one of those two would pay off my house with enough left over for some badly needed repairs/improvements. The other would have bought it outright 16 or so years ago (again, with a bit left over).

Besides, I almost never drink alcohol any more. If I do, though, it'll probably be a good (but not THAT good ) single-malt, in a nosing glass.
