Second Attempt At Indoor Grow With Boomslang

Hi Skottelgoed, sweet grow! Love the new lights, best wishes for your friend making them. These are good times for hatching ideas like his/hers!
Load sharing is a drag my friend! It's a heartbreaker to see you lose a DP over that! Oh well.
The dp was indeed a sad case! Was so pissed but more sad as it was really a strain that i have been looking forward to growing. But lesson learnt and it can only get better from here. I have a few strains that I am planning on starting today. Few will be outdoor and few indoor. Thanks for the well wishes you and squiggs gave for my friends new endeavor, i will def let him know. Thanks for popping in at my journal. :Namaste:

Update: just received my focal and I cant wait to hook this baby up. It will be great to see if this will help with the bud formation.

Morning you beautiful people. Just a small update today.
Nothing much happen here. The boomslang is doing well getting her feed every 2 to 3 days depending on how the soil still feels. I have been keeping her nutes the same right through.

Her smell is hectic! Love to open the garage door and get blasted with the sweet smell. I get a hint of cookies from it as well but hey it is a cross with gsc which is awesome.
Hopefully with the focal light added, the buds can form a bit fatter now. The lux im getting from both lights at 50cm from the top of the canopy is between 125k and 160k lux. Really impressed with this small compact light. Only time will tell if it is up to the task.

I have also popped 7 new strains all reg seeds to grow indoor and outdoor so watch this space, there might be another journal on its way and i will try and keep the new journal proper not like this one where i started with big buddha and then moved onto boomslang. So sad that the buddha turned out male as i was seeing forward to it if it had been a female. Atleast I have something that turned out female.

So what is on the horizon with the 7 other strains?
2 x GSC
2 x Unknown holland seeds
1 x Gorrila Glue
1 x Blue Cheese
1 x Chef Kush

Here are a few pics of the boomslang still going strong

Looking real good. The one lady is looking extra frosty already.
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah she is getting frosty! She needs to fatten her buds now.

Hey guys!
Small update: its day 65 since flip and day 46 when pistils started shooting out.

Had a issue with some fungus gnats! Dont know how these buggers got in to the grow space. But got that sorted out with my family long remedy. So that is under control now. They didnt see it coming and now laying on their backs feet in the air.

Water schedule still stays the same with the same amount of nutes. Boomslang is doing well and with the new light that has been added. Its too early to say whether this light will help fatten up the buds, but only time will tell. Only the 1st week with this light. Will probably see change in the next week and a half.

So yeah that is all for now peeps. Have a great day people!

Hey guys!

Boomslang is doing fine. I will be doing some light training again on her to spread her out a bit more. Will also be trimming some of the bigger fan leaves off the get better light penetration on the buds. Smaller fan leaves should be fine for being the solar panels. Lol.

She is producing some frosty sugar coating. I want her buds to set out a bit more. But for now im happy with her progress.

Here is some pics:

Ola

Small update for this week. I have trimmed the boomslang a little bit to get some open space for the nodes and to get better light through the middle. Boomslang baby is very happy and I also couldn't been any happier with her progress. She seems like a slow bloomer as she is not producing that much pistils but some strains is like that I guess. I will just have to give her more time to develop more and to fatten those flowers of her.

She looks healthy and Im trying my best to keep her healthy and happy, keeping all pests out!

Anyway not much to say more. Here are some piccies for you guys to enjoy. Have a lovely day everyone!

Hello all,

Mini update again. Boomslang is still doing great. Her smell is becoming potent now each time I open the garage door. I likey a-l-o-t!! Lol

Anyway I still keep her water schedule the same.every second day. I have upped her nutes a bit. She is forming some nice sugar coated crystals and it seems that she will be starting to pack out on the bud formation. Slow bloomer but it could be just the strain. Still some decent time to go.

I have ordered another focal light to pair with the other focal and burple I have. Will be building a rail for the lights to be mounted on.

Im really happy with her progress. Cant wait light her up.

Have a great day y'all!!

she is looking good man!

please show us when you make the rail for the focal lights too :ganjamon:
Will def update when the rail is done. Im planing on getting two more focals.

Hello all,

Update time. Girl is doing just fine. Our loadshedding is back with a bang and I had to change my whole setup on the lights to keep it going as i only have a small 7ah ups running. Atleast that is working on the one focal light for 2.5hours cycle of loadshedding. The focal is only 60w draw which is really counting in my favour.

Boomslang started showing more pistil growth which tells me she is ready to fatten up a bit. She gets her normal feeding every second day. The smell is really great off this plant. One gets the cookie smell out of her breed of gsc. Trichomes are becoming frosty as she goes along.
I reckon end Nov she should be ready to be chopped. Whoop whoop.

Hey guys

I've been so sick for the last week. Started with normal flu that turned into gandular fever(kissing-disease) that other would know it. Lol. Hey I only kiss one woman in my life and yes she was sick and recovered nicely. Now it was my turn it seems. Anyway getting better now. Doc gave a shot in the bum and i hate iiiit! Not the needles but the bum part lol

Here is a little update on the boomslang. She starting to become cloudy on the trichomes which tells me she is starting to finish up. I will be flushing her for a week. I know feeding or flushing doesnt make a real different but reason for flushing is that I want to reuse the soil and just want to remove most of the salt build up in the soil to be mixed with new soil.

She did not fatten up as I was hoping for, could be that the seed was laying for a while but nevertheless she looks good and smell good and that is a success for me personally. She will be getting the chop this weekend and I will do a wet trim. Never tried dry trim yet. Which is easier?

Here she is:

hey bra, looking good.

ya the wet trim/dry trim story is a preference ey

what i have found doing both is the wet trim is a pain in the ass, excuse the pun...lol

ive also read that doing a dry trim allows for a more even dry.

just my 2 cents, lets see what the others say
