Scrogdawg's White Widow Fem Grow

Have to remember I am organic, you are synthetic with nutes. I am sure that there are differences. A very solid understanding of what is going on with a soil grow will shed light onto things in hydro. Think of the soil growing as the crash test dummy's.

In my very limited 2nd hand knowledge it seems you need to check ph for synth nutes + soil. The ph buffer in organic soil is more due to microbes / life of the soil.

This grow may be helpful: TheBlaze - Genesis - Chapter 1 - Verse 1

His last grow was started in organic soil then moved over to synth and then flushes with organics at the end. Pretty darn good looking results he gets.

Day 58 Veg.

Did a big clean up and defol under the screen yesterday and flipped the lights to 12/12 this morning. Should have maybe flipped about three days ago, the top screen is going to be pretty full by the time transition and stretch are finished. Lots more tucking to do yet.

I didn't do a res change but I did mix up Cal/Mg, Z7 and a 1-1-1 Flora Series recipe for top up water that I'll use through the transition. There should be enough of everything needed in the top up water to satisfy the transition without doing a complete res change at this time. When I see first pistils I'll do a change to an early flower recipe.

They don't look to pretty this morning, I was twisting and tucking before I took these pictures.

The Cheese auto is at Day 29 and still under the 45 watt blurple LED at 20/4. I topped her once at day 22 and up-potted her to a 1L pot with Promix HP and Perlite on day 27. I'm feeding her with the same nutes I use in my hydro grow and she is finally starting to get some legs under her. She'll go outside onto the deck in the next week or so. I'm hoping to get her into a 10 gallon pot by the time she flowers.

One observation I have about this soil growing thing is how fast they'll go limp for a day if I over water even the slightest bit. The plant is very sensitive that way.

Idk that scrog looks pretty damn good to me bud. Here come the flowers

I'm really excited about that cheese going into the sun and seeing the results. :cheer:
Though not as much as I'm looking forward to some pics of the stretch, I get the vibe that those girls are going to explode! Looks awesome SD.:bravo:

If I remember correctly (which I dont always) you want that ph down a bit lower. 500 may be a touch high but not enough to cause trouble. Overall I thi k your doing it right. but that's all just going off what I remember from the soil folks I follow
Nah he is good at a 6.7 range. His best bet it to float it a bit from the low 6s to the high 6s. 6.5 is about my best single range if I had to pick but I float mine a bit from time to time.

She is looking good. She is a very dark green so plenty of N for sure. I do not even check the ph of my water before feeding. In soil there should be enough buffer to take it to where the plant wants it. Don't over think it.
Unless you are dealing with water like mine at 9.2-9.3. I tried to go without pHing but started having issues. Went back to pHing (really not pHing in the traditional sense.....I use the acidity of fish emulsion fertilizer to drop my water pH.....a teaspoon of it will bring my 9.2 water to about 6.5) and haven't had a single issue since then.

Day 4 Transition

I changed the light schedule from 18/6 to 12/12 fours days ago along with the nutrient schedule to promote the start of flowering. This morning I changed out the 4200k MH bulbs with the 2000k HPS bulbs for flower. I should see pistils inside of a week now and will do a complete res change with early flower nutes at that time. I hate orange pictures but whatda'ya do.

Scrogged the shit out of these plants this morning. In about 6 hours they'll all be pointing back up again nice and even. The bottom screen is about 75% full so I'm going to flip in a couple of days.

I'll flip to 12/12 with the MH bulbs for about 4 days then switch to the HPS. I'll feed at a 1-1-1 ratio with the Micro, Gro and bloom through transition till first pistils and then introduce the flowering nutes.

When do you clean her up scrogdawg?

Cool beans, I'll see if it's bendy enough for me. Still not sure if I can SCROG my DWC I'll have to read more and see, otherwise I might have to just attempt to build a RDWC :slide: I just wanted to avoid making one because of the extra running cost and possible res heat issues of the water pump doing it's thing.. :hmmmm:
You can make one that fits over each bucket I’m sure I’ve seen people make their own. Easily hmmm

If my two water is coming out around ph of 7 neutral scale is it necessary to ph down it after my nutes go in and all too? For soil of course here is my dilemma @Van Stank I am getting a farm soil this weekend it is mixed with horse goat donkey rabbit chicken poop and dirt been there for three years my buddy said and turned once or twice a year ? Should I once transplant to it from my promix ho using advanced nutrients ph perfect synthetic nutes hurt it and shoudl I just use two water nothing else ? Help don’t want to mess this

I did a major defol two days before I flipped and will do another about a week or so into flower.
May I make a suggestion ??

Try to do defoil a week before flip specially major . Why ? Unless you think it’s cool you prob got way more experience then me ✊

But is two days sufficient enough for it stress wise ? Also I heard about two weeks after flip so pretty much first week of pistils show another clean up or touch up no or yes es ?

Sorry just trying to look out bro if anything ..

Your always welcome to make a suggestion about anything Joe.

I've defoliated at just about every stage of growth in different grows, and the plants seem to stall out for 2-3 days and then carry on from where they left off regardless of when I do it. I don't recall ever thinking something suffered from doing, it or not doing it, at a particular time. Just my observations.

It's funny because I'm noticing that my babygirl who's 55days old today :cheer:seems to only stall 2-3 days aswell if you'd call it that lol she's so tough.. :yahoo:

Orange really isn't very flattering especially for such pretty ladys, but alas being fashion forward wont make the buds start doing there thing.
:welldone:SD they look outstanding.

Joe, I am sorry but I can't really speak to using nutes. I only water with aerated compost tea, all my stuff is in the soil already. I would imagine you should need to do everything the same as coco but just have it pH'd to the soil range instead of the hydro range. Wish I could help you more buddy but I try to stay away from the nutes.
