Scorpio's Cavalcade Of Horrors With Hempy, Genetics, Perpetual & Much Much More

@Derbybud I think said he does last week of veg and the first two weeks of flower.... I do 2ml per gallon probably 3 times in both week 1 and 2 after flip. If i think its gonna be a flopper, I'll run it into week 3
Rhino is kinda spendy, Armour Si from GH is like half the cost

Any thoughts here Dabber

Also what about diamstrious earth...I have some of that

Never mind, sounds like it doesn't disol e good enough for plants

Yep! I dont ph so I went with rhino. Amor Si is fine if you're phing and use 1 ml per gallon. I think penny and others had some major swings with using too much.

They all say because of the salts they up pH a bit

Hmmmmmmm

Besides the stronger stems, silica also builds up stronger/thicker cell walls which helps against temperature (low and high) swings by maximizing the plants ability to transpire (or something like that). Also, I just read last night actually, that the plant best uses silica only when it's actively growing so using it after the stretch is basically useless (according to whatever I read at least).

I use 5ml of GH ArmourSi every watering up until about 2-3 weeks before harvest, but after reading that I will now stop earlier. I don't PH adjust and use PH friendly nutes, but I've heard of major PH swings using silica. Also if you do use it be sure to add it to your water before any thing else as it tends to react very quickly and kind of cloud up in the water if you add other nutes first.

I've only used Silica Blast. I start at week 3 of veg till week 5 of flowering. Works great.

Awesome info guys, and thanks @Van Stank for the heads up

Now what to buy, seems rhino is pretty popular and has less K, since I have a K booster ready

Hmmmmmm

Thats the main reason I want the soil loaded with it. I don't want any of the salts in there. As of now....I am not using anything out of a bottle except for humic acid (liquid form) and about a teaspoon of Fish emulsion fertilizer per gallon of water (and thats more of a pH adjuster down than for the nutrients). I have the soil good for my silica and even calcium now so I have retired the Cal Mag and Silica for now (thankfully).

Plans are going well

Flush has started on these girls

The Dinachem is about ready to come down next week

Cali Orange is close, 10 days ish, just a few white hairs popping out

This Lamnesia is real close to, probably come down with the Dinachem

This will really open up the big tent and I'll probably pull the HPS and re do my vents and check the filter for summer

Thinking of pulling the filter off the small tent, not really needed and it runs about 2deg hotter than the big tent so thinking it will cool it down a little

Side note

My food for today...mmmmmm broth

Colonoscopy tomorrow, fun fun fun, just a test one since it's been almost 15yrs since my last

In in about 12c of water today and my system isn't liking this type of liquid diet

Lol

Sorry bud! Mine's next month...Oiy! I hate em! Good luck!

For the silica check into a korean brew for the plant horsetail. It grows wild pretty much all over.
Yeah its great IF you can find it. Supposed to be native to my area but I will be damned if I can find any LOL.

Lots of em back home, don't help here...lol

Rhino Skin will land tomorrow, good thing, got some lanky girls starting out under the QBs, moved em closer last night and the look fantastic this am

Got the seedlings in the DWC tub, all but one ATF baby, she needs a couple more days

Looks like only one male, a GDP male
So that leaves the ACDC x GDP twins and the GDP twins, very nice indeed

Of course the biggest one of the GDP is a boy, go figure

Since I know the DWC is a girl I defoled her a bit to open up the center
She has huge leaves, the other two GDP I grew had nothing like these sized leaf, she for sure is indica dominant

The three other girls

Looking great chris that DWC girl is uuuuuuge!
She only veged for like 38 days, she is very impressive
Not a lot of stretch yet but she is still growing
