How does it work
Was thinking the 50gal would be to slow
I get about a gallon every 43 minutes, but my water pressure is low (I have it set low).

It works great other than just being slow. The speed is dependent on your water pressure...so.....

The only thing I dislike is how much water is wasted, but all RO systems do that. I waste a little over 4 gallons of water for each 1gallon I bottle.

Mine comes out exactly 6.5 pH. I don't have a ppm meter, so can't say on the ppm's.

Nice
Not sure of my water pressure either but seems pretty good

I figured to set it up in my bathtub so that I can just run it for a few hours and fill up a couple 5 gallon jugs

Be nice to have good drinking water to

Idk it's obvious who the start pupil is.... But yep they all look great Chris. Congrats on the the fun new crosses

What I did. I put my "output" hose in a gallon jug and just kept checking it every 5 minutes until it was full. I then knew exactly how long it took to fill. You could do the same with a bucket but extend the time to like 15 minutes.

I now set a timer for 43 minutes and switch my jugs when the timer goes off, and start the timer again. It's a very efficient system.

Should be noted, you will need a way to connect the water. I use a deep sink and the included outside faucet connector (garden hose type).

New toy today

All set up after dripping water everywhere...lol

My water is about 8.2ph and 420ppm
Tested water came out at 6.5-6.7 and 52ppm
Pretty happy with that , RO machines I used to buy from are anywhere from 6.2-6.7ph and 25ppm

Took about 20min/gal so about 1.5hr to fill my 5gal jug

Looks to be a great improvement for your tap water...... I figure you are really happy with it then...

For sure

Will save me $10 a week and time filling the jugs
Plus drinking water

For sure worth the $60

Wow...that will pay for itself pretty fast.... :slide:

You need to stop putting ideas in my head! GET OUTTA MY HEAD! LOL:rofl: I can't buy more "stuff"! Hubby is sick of the measuring spoons, the warming pads, and filtered water...the various ties and the clamps, & buckets and bins...it makes his head spin! There is soil everywhere... and THAT delightful odor! Like a skunk has been let loose in the house. Ah well...for better or for worse! Ain't true love grand?:battingeyelashes:

It's the scorpio thing, I'm psychic, phsycotic, physicist, something like that:rofl:

Toys toys toys, ya gotta have yer toys...lol

And my tap water SUCKS, so this is perfect for me

Does the system you got also waste a good amount of water like @Bonsaiweed - 1 gal filtered to 4 gal waste? For now i just use really expensive nutes to cover up for my crumby water.

All RO systems waste water. This is due to the way they work. They push H2O molecules through a very fine stone like filter (or fine membrane). This results in the remaining water being more contaminated (new contaminated water + the particles that could not go through the filter). The designers allow that higher contaminated water to flow away to prevent the filter media from becoming clogged with particles.

Now the more expensive systems tend to waste water less, but I personally can't afford a $3000.00 system.

Ya I was looking at a $450 system for under counter but Didnt want to drill out my sink and would be a PAIN to fill my 5gal buckets

So GLAD I got this one

I estimated about 5gal waste for every 1gal RO water, Ish
the spendy system was a 3/1 system

But this one for $60 is fantastic for what I need. Sits in the spare Bathroom and I fill from the sink and dump into the bathtub

OH FYI......lol
1/4t of PH down took my Gal from 6.5 to 3.8...LOL
1/8t from 6.5 to 4.8...lol

added the 4.8gal to 4 gal of 6.5 and settled about 6.0ph, which is where I want to start....

Gunna try 1/4t in 5gal next time
