There are very few companies that actually harvest peat moss. They in turn sell it to Pro Mix and Sunshine. There should be little difference. I think Sunshine is cheaper??

Same difference if you don't want the extra labor if making your own. Making your own just saves a little cash, like maybe $20 for a bale. It's up to you to decide what your time is worth.
