The vents run through the attic space, correct? You could always cut them in the attic & glue on studor vents until you can get back in there to tie them together & punch out.You have much experience with septic systems brother? Specifically the venting? Trying to go solar, but I have three vents right in my prime solar panel area and I want to move have them moved to a non southern facing roof slope. Mu'fuckers crazy with the prices they are quoting to want to move 3 pipes....join them into one stack and vent it out either the front or the closest side. One dude quoted me 4500.00, while the other two were at least acceptable 1500 and 2000. Didn't feel like they were trying to bend me over and violate me with no lube. Problem with them is its prime boiler season and I am a backburner job and clocks ticking on me getting this moved. Doesn't seem like its overly complicated....but I don't know shit about codes or do's and don'ts regarding septic and I am a bit worried I would overlook something.
I mean its freaking PVC....how hard can it be? I've done irrigation systems before, can't be much different.
Wanted to try the tapRO should help reduce it.
They musta added hella buffers to itThe trick will be keeping it down.
Roof was already replaced.......roofer is standing by to come back and punch a new hole and do whatever needs to be done from the roof perspective. The vents run through the attic space, correct? Are you re-doing the roof, or going to break through the existing roof?
Dumped itCan you increase your ppm some, it may help stabilize the ph.
We install studors inside walls from time to time, where necessary. They meet all code requirements here in TX.Roof was already replaced.......roofer is standing by to come back and punch a new hole and do whatever needs to be done from the roof perspective.
I just can't justify spending that type of cash on a PVC venting system.
Speaking of that, I need to call the plumber that quoted the cheapest and see if his ass will be able to get out and do what needs to be done.
Question on the Studor vents......I know with septic systems there is methane gas. I have a ridge vent cut in the roof for decent venting in conjunction with the soffets (sp?). Is that sufficient for ventilation over the short term if I decide to lop the vent stack until I can get it moved? Obviously safely is my first concern....with cost being the 2nd. I don't have 4 grand to throw at this....hell I don't have 2 grand to throw at this LOL. Not with the work I want to have done in the basement.
Normally I would offer to fly up to do the job, but I'm swamped until after Christmas. If that would still work for ya, we can chat about it offline. I can probably figure something out....Roof was already replaced.......roofer is standing by to come back and punch a new hole and do whatever needs to be done from the roof perspective.

Hey bro if the house has always had a septic system, how does it not have a vent pipe already going through the roofSo next question for you......what would you rank this type of work in regards to difficulty for a DIY type of job? (not the temp vents.....but the merging and relocation of the vent stacks). I would much rather drop the 2 grand on the work in the basement. I don't mind doing the work if its something I can do and not jack up the functionality of the system. I have no previous experience with septic systems or their venting.
It has the vents......if you followed the previous part of the conversation you would see I want to move them from the southern facing roof where the solar company is going to install the solar panels. I need to get these moved so I can proceed with the solar installation. They take up 3 slots which would be about 10% of my solar panel system. I would rather have panels there than 3 vent stacks.Hey bro if the house has always had a septic system, how does it not have a vent pipe already going through the roof
