I have a friend that was looking for a lemon strain. Wish I could remember who. I'm sure it will come to me, eventually.

And.....here we go again

So I've determined the goopies are caused by one of three things

Rhino Skin
Hydroguard (maybe old)
Z7 (maybe old)


I went from my seedling tub and 1/4 strength nutes and rezz change to almost 1/2 strength and BAM buildup on some roots and lots on the air stones

I'm 99.73265% it's the Silica or Rhino Skin
Went to the hydro store and Dad, it's sons business, and I can tell Dad has grown for years, hates Rhino Skin. He also said he has used well older than a year hydroguard and no issues

So I got 34% h202 and Physan 20.

Did a rezz change, just GH Flora Trio at about half strength, that's it. Then I did the h202, 1t in my 5gal last night, no real changes, but also no goop build up. But didn't help the one, biggest roots and goopies.

so just started the Physan 20 at about 9am. Man that shit bubbles. Did about 2ml in the 5gal.
roots on the bad one already looks better. I'll run it for about 6hrs then do a rezz change

I'm watching the ruff one. I may clip her roots. Funny she is all perky now. If her roots dont completely clear up I'll snip em

im also going to run a bucket with just Rhino Skin in it, see what happens

When you added the silica did you add it to the water first before any other nutes? When I used Rx Green nutes I got some sludge when I added silica after Rx Green Energy but never if I added the silica first.

Always 1st
In stagnat water stirred or with bubbles running, always same results

And have had nothing but trouble with Rhino Skin and Pro-tekt gooping up
 
Well... Update!!!!!!

Littles look great, perky and NO GOOPIES!!!!

The biggest root one I was worried about, but she looks the same as she did last night, good good good

Now, checked the TEST bucket with just Rhino Skin in it, hmmmmmm no goopies
Gunna grab a flashlight and check really good.

If nothing I'll add hydroguard or z7, probably z7, one jug is a different , not clear, color

We shall see. Good thing Physan 20 rocked it!!!!


Need to find what's causing it, gotta be the enzime cleaners or silica or a mix of them
 
Have you tried to contact the manufacturer? Maybe you can glean some information from them. They may already know the answer.
 
I took a flashlight to THE TEST bucket
Yup goopies on the bubler stone
I'm adding z7 in a few, 1st cup of coffee now, I bet the enzyme cleaners, like with the bacteria, boosts the growth or clumping of the goopies

Oooooo I'll drop a string in, bet it grabs to it like roots

I'll get it dialed soon
