Hey Chris to bring up a different kind of goopy just wanted to mention that I got that Slug 33 working perfectly now. My issue was my lack of patience causing me to crank it too fast and hard. Now I found the right torching time, speed, and pressure I get great consistent presses every time. It’s perfect for a once in a while treat without spending hundreds or using the hair iron (which I never tried so I can’t really compare). So glad I stuck with it. With your attention to detail I bet you’d not have the same problems I did.

Yeah it tastes amazing, yesterday I slugged some that was freshly hanging for 5 days and it came out terptastic. So good I had to leave that post. The only thing I would change now is I would get the smaller one like you mentioned, the 2g makes more than I can handle in one session and it's not super easy to transfer to storage. It cools enough to reuse in 15-20 minutes if you wanted to go again anyway.Freaking amateurs, that's what a flamethrower is for

If you use it with your Turkey Torch your heating time would be about 2 seconds.

There are several right on the beach but people can only stay for 72 hours. Also a bit more relaxing is Carlsbad just up north a bit. They have full RV and camping right on the beach, but not the same nightlife experience as OB.

If your willing to drive a bit to the beach there are great values just north/east. Like Julian, Alpine, Ramona. With your love of nature you’d probably love it there anyways and still have a quick 40 minute drive to the beach.
