SBG's First Grow Cabinet Under CFLs (Wish Me Luck)

Thats reasonable and my real name is nowhere close to joe haha. If you are worried about your privacy as I am you should check out a vpn. Your internet provider is tracking every website and every search you do for up to 5 years. A vpn masks that so they have no idea what you are doing.

both chambers at the moment are in Veg cycle 18/6, will wait till it's time to do flowering cycle then everyone will move upstairs. I have a friend who is about to take clones off of all his plants and offered me some I believe they are God bud in which case they will be moving upstairs sooner.

OH yeah fun times for all.

Nice, your going to get that rolling. on the clone I have read that when you get them it's best to quarantine them and check for any pets before introducing it to your grow box. now the trick is that it ain't so easy for us with so limited space, I would double, triple check, as your buddy plenty of times, that your clone are coming from a pets free environment. don't want to get any aphids on spider mites, they would kill a microgarden in no time.

Nice setup I havea similar set up im starting how you do with yours?

This is my first grow in a cabinet. I'm usually out on my sundeck watching the plants grow but this year due to poor seeds or over thinking I only have 2 plants on the deck so I took some clones and I thought I would try an indoor cabinet. With all the GREAT HELP that are following my steps and giving great suggestions I hope to have some success. Follow along and see how it all turns out and Let me know when you start a journal and we can compare notes.

I like to watch. haahahahahaha

New growth from top to bottom at center is bright lime green is that normal? I just did a small dosage of nutrients seems normal and healthy just wondering.

Lime green means its running low on nitrogen id bet money on it as ive experienced the lime green added nitrogen and it fixed the issue. The secondary cause could be light damaging the chlorophyll but isnt as likely

Water soluable nitrogen. Spray the leaves(foliar spray) they take the nutrients in faster that way through the stomata

something that I used to foliar feed is to add phobic acid, it's open the stomata and the uptake shot through the roof. I noticed rapid growth when I applied it to my regimen, I do this twice during the veg cycle. no foliar during flowering, unless I noticed a mild deficiency.

Brave man to foliar spray during flowering. Id be afraid to get the buds wet. I have to look up phobic acid now though :) Thanks

I think the photo is lying a little not quite lime green but new growth green. I just added nutes to the water that I did a few days ago

And one more update.

I just added some Mycorrhizal Fungi solution to all my plants after doing alot of reading (thanks SmokerJoe for the recommendation) I think most of our soil in the City could do with it.

Also added some solution to the plants on the deck, they are just starting to show signs of flowering ( Now the fun begins and the perfume. thank goodness a neighbor has a medical license to grow so my perfume mixes with his.) I will let you know as time goes by if I notice any diff.

On a brighter note HAHAHA I ordered a LED panel for the Cabinet, I know SJ didnt reccomond it and I did consider not buying it because of his comments but if I have a height problem I'll solve it with another cabinet. win win.

Alright well good luck. My advice isnt gospel its just a good suggestion. I just didnt want you to spend if you didnt have to. Take care

wait, wait.. I won't foliar feed unless I see a deficiency and only up to week 5 and I'm being risky at the time after that, nothing will get close to my flower. but then again I once read about washing your flowers, a bit curious about it but I doubt I would ever tried it.

Yes I budwash. Its amazing. Let it drip dry overnight. I have instructions and photos in my completed journal although I dont remember which page. I was around april 20th though if you want to see. If you dont want to go search for it though let me know and I will give a brief explanation. It really does help the buds. It gets rid of so much dirt and hair and dead bugs. The ash from the smoke is a nice light grey to indicate a clean smoke and its not nearly as harsh on my lungs. I was apprehensive at first evn though I personally knew people who have done it in the 70's and seen the same person doing it in the 90's then seen people on here trying so I did it and I wont go back to smoking non washed buds again (if they are mine)

quick update, I don't seem to update this journal as much as the rest of you update yours.

Although i do appreciate all the input I get from you guys.

New Light in the flowering chamber is up and shining bright. Plants are looking great,

I think I might give them one week under Veg lighting and then its time to switch over to flowering time and light. I made myself a blackout screen for the top chamber out of blackout cloth and glued velcro tabs all around the top chamber and the cloth works well I think, checked for light leaks the other day and all seems good.

On another note I have 8 unsexed god clones from 4 diff plants that a friend gave me, they are all looking very nice as well. Once the top chamber goes over to flowering mode and the little clones are in there first pots I will force 4 of them to flower and pick out the DUDES and keep the rest. (lets hear it for the matriarchal Cabinet)

I think I have too many plants in this little Cabinet of mine.

thanks for listening and watching.

and good smoke to all.

I like the cab ! nice Job !

A few questions for those that are looking over my shoulder.

I am thinking of flipping over to flowering at this point and wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a bit of pruning before I flip. Lower branches have come off and the inside small kernels have come off to help with air flow all the major buds sites seem to be in the open and ready but I thought i would ask for some input. (yes I know 5 plants in that small space is too many) We will see how it goes this time next time will only be 3 plants (Maybe)

Also I couldn't help myself, I took a few more clones off the big plant on the deck since I was clearing out some under growth. They do show signs of flowering and I have read that flowering clones are harder to start, but at this point they look very healthy anyone have any thoughts?
