I have about 4 of them around the house, the one in my grow closet is 10x, while looking at trichomes under grow lights today I can get about a good 1cm field of view (depth) on the cola in focus so I just kinda graze each plant.

Unless the 14x has a larger objective I would go with the 10x. If your getting larger in the x and the objective/lenses are not bigger, it's just working against itself. Some watch loupes have serious fields of view, but they can be up there and you need to look at them because there is a fit for your eyes. My eyes are pretty bad and I can easily focus and see the head of the trichomes, and pretty much if their partially white, clear or amber.

I do have one of those plastic amazon 5 buck deals with a light. It's smaller 2million x is useless for me and fatiguing, it has the silliest field of view, you almost have to oil immerse it and touch what your looking at, then you need a backlight to see it.

Your probably like me....this should not be a 20 minute task with a headache and shifting around in the tent. FWIW, I don't attempt to photograph through it....no patience for that.

I appreciate the well wishes. My uncle just stopped by with some flounder and frog courtbullion for dinner so I don't have to cook. And we all know that will remedy anything.

Well I'll have to take your word on that ;)
Bon appetite!

FYI, I did get the 10x, B&L, Hastings Triplet, 60CDN.
Thanks for the advice. I think it's exactly what I am looking for. It'll be here tomorrow so I'll tag you with my thoughts.

Sleep well!

I honestly thought I was the only one shifting. Driving me nuts. I keep tipping over!

If you don't like, can you return?
Yes absolutely. I'm not too concerned. If I can look quickly and see clearly and see the differences, that's all I need it for. I have a camera and macro lens for the close-up pics but need a tripod to keep 'er steady on the zooms.

Makes all the difference in the world.
Agree, and I have two. One that is more of a monopod, HQ, and the other is from china, plasic and rinkety. By the time you walk away or move your hand it's shifted to a new spot. The mono is good, but hard to use at floor level, and I don't really have the space to get them out.
That and I'm too lazy to lift the pots in and out.:Rasta:

I can never figure out Canada Post. Seldom early, often late, but never on time. Today, being a public holiday, I had not expected any deliveries. But lo and behold my new Mars tent just arrived in A1 condition. Thank you CP!

I was startled by a package delivery today too. I thought for sure there wasn't mail delivery today

MarsHydro had a promo on their tents, 10% off with a promo code already off the sale price, so I took the plunge to replace my Growneer tent, which was a 600D for almost the same price a year ago. I love the quality they describe and hopefully the light leaks I get around the zipper seems on my existing one disappear.
I haven't decided yet what I want to do with the old tent, but I first have to tell my wife we have a new one coming.
If I fail to make it back on here in the next few days, please send help!

The tent should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. Woop woop!

Congrat's on the new tent, Brother! :high-five:

Just for the record, I'm from the USA but knew from the start you had to be from Missisauga. I did some business with Nortel which had a big location, possibly their corporate headquarters, located there, if I recall correctly. ;)

Thanks Mr Krip.. and glad to hear you know about us way up here :ciao:
Lots of big names up here... the Heartland area has names like Pepsi, Coca Cola, Firestone(not sure anymore), Festo to name a few but being so close to the airport and downtown Toronto it's a hotspot for corporations. Now that NY lost the zon, I wonder... :reading420magazine:

Good, because I would hate for you to be out 60 maple dollars if it does not work for your eyes. These things are all personal choices. And I won't be butthurt if you tell me it does not meet your expectations.

So, you work in a factory...care to divulge what yall make? I like companies who actually still employ people who use tools and their hands.

Sure thing... we make paint rollers and paint brushes. The brushes are done all by hand, and the rollers are done by various machines. A lot of them are old, back from the 60's and 70's but work extremely well. Old school technology compared to todays PLC's and HMI's.
I run the maintenance department and we are responsible for the upgrades, overhauls and repairs of the equipment. Been in the biz for over 35 years as a millwright and still love it to this day. I just like to get dirty and fix things!

Ha, I spent a few years in Rochester for school. I would go up to toronto whenever I needed culture, concerts, music or tim hortons (kidding on the tim hortons, that's the worst excuse for coffee ever, sorry).
My god, our relationship ends here!
Just kidding...I go through three cups of Timmies a day. More when Roll up the Rim to Win is on. I also worked for a company called Timothy's, bought out by your coffee giant GMCR, or Keurig. So we closed up shortly after that. I love the smell and taste of crappy coffee.

That's funny! I used to go to Nick Tahoe's for culture!
We did used to go to Toronto for the Molson Bradors, though, which had a higher alcoholic content than we could get in the US and we could bring back 2 cases per person! :thumb:

Man, all that matters is crossing borders for "Cultural Exchange", Nick Tahoes...lol that is a colonoscopy. I never drank that much to enjoy it.

Toronto is a very cool city with a hell of a vibe. I wanted to go to grad school there but wife said no...to much coin at the time.

I don't think anyone ever drank enough to really enjoy Nick's! It did meet a need at 3:00am when everything else was closed, though! All the "junk" food in Rochester was colonoscopy material! I also remember Sal's Bird's and Pontillo's Wings. Just the smell of that stuff used to make my eyes (NOT mouth!) water!

We used to pay guys to pick us up a case once a week. We'd then proceed to the local field party and somehow not fall in the fire.
Teens and Brador were quite a mix back then. Stuff was awful but like you said, loaded with alcohol.

OMG!! I had no idea you are also a millwright. All this time we could have been talking chain-falls and torque values and all that fun stuff ad nauseam, lol. :headbanger::ciao:

I am looking forward to seeing pics once you get your tent up and running. Tomorrow I am making a big move by relocating my whole grow into the basement. Pics soon to follow....
