Sauga's Got Amnesia But Didn't Forget The Red Dragon

Excellent job on the transplant! They look really happy.

I want to hollow out that pumpkin and give it to @Preston9mm as another veg area.

Congratulations! One of the fastest votes I ever cast :thumb:.

Hey everybody!

Learning day today so please take your seats. This is really to do with the science behind my feedings so users of the newest Megacrop can see why I need to add supplements.
First off, for those who don't know I use the very first version which was available in 2018. That version has an NPK of 9-6-14 which required a bit more booster during flower if you really wanted things to take off. However with some calmag the extras really are not needed either. The latest version off their website is 9-6-17.

So how about those secondary nutrients? Well v1, my stash, has some very interesting numbers compared to their latest version selling today. The Ca levels of mine are at 6.3%, v2 is at 7.1%. Magnesium for mine is at 1.9% and v2 at 2.6%. Sulfur is another interesting value where v1 sits at 1.1% and v2 a whopping 4%. That my friends is some sticky stinky difference right there.

So what does this all mean? Simply put I'm an end user with 9kgs of Megacrop that I'll need to make as good if not better :) than v2 or v3 or wevrtf version it is now!
I dialed in some numbers in the Farside-o-Matic MegaCalc® and this is what I come up with. The numbers are values of the nutrients x the quantity used.

4L of water sample size for all numbers below.
v1 Secondary Nutrient Numbers based on 3g of Megacrop
Ca = 22.68
Mg = 6.84
S = 3.96

v2 Secondary Nutrient Numbers based on 3g of Megacrop
Ca = 25.56
Mg = 9.36
S = 14.4

That S number is killing me and I'm glad I looked at that just recently. Now this is what I have to do to get close to v2 or better without messing up the golden ratios.

v1 with 3g MegaCrop and:
1mL Protekt
3mL Calmag
1g Sweet Candy
.4g Kelp Extract (This does not change anything with the Ca, Mg or S. It's added for other reasons I can explain if asked).

New v1 Secondary Nutrient Numbers based on 3g of Megacrop
Ca = 37.68
Mg = 15.89
S = 18.26

v2 Secondary Nutrient Numbers based on 3g of Megacrop(repeat)
Ca = 25.56
Mg = 9.36
S = 14.4

So you can see that I surpassed those numbers...maybe by too much but my ratios are fine so we're going to try that out. The SC is very high in S so it's something I'll have to use in all my feedings.

Class dismissed!
Go get high!

But I was getting high as I was reading this...

Was there any silicon in V1? Interesting you are going only with 1 ml Pro tekt. Is that because you are trying to mimic V2 and V3?
I take it the sulphur is coming from the Sweet Candy?

I thought the grande calabaza blend was going to fix all this anywho.

I do believe so, but I'll get back to you on that as my bag is downstairs sealed in a bucket.

You are correct sir. 13% S.

There's always one that can't wait :rolleyes:

As for the Protekt I have to keep things in balance with the K. SC has 16% K in it and with the Protekt and the MC it gets kinda high. That should increase as my MC increases though. It's less than the recommended amount by Protekt for maintenance but meh! Not much I can do really.

Hey everybody!

Day 20 update

Two days ago I fed my girls a new mix after doing some calculations and I can't believe what I've done! I made them grow real goodly like and they seem real happi!

So here's the pics to prove it. But before that, one thing I rarely talk about is the temps in my gartent. I love running them high as you'll see in a couple of the pics. There is a danger zone and I wouldn't go higher than 90 degrees at the very most(higher than 90 and you have to run your RH 70% or higher depending on the stage of growth the plant is in), but if your RH is good and you have good air circulation, the plants will love you for it. The pics show about two degrees cooler and about 15% off the RH due to the open flap. If there was a zipper on the inside I could enclose myself to keep the RH up. ;) But that's another thread.

:Rasta:

I bet with a piece of string attached, you could get the zipper 99.67% closed from the inside
Interesting idea. Ever get your pecker caught in your zipper? If not you're lucky it's small but I tell you it's not fun. This has nothing to do with the tent string btw.

Waiting for you to prove me wrong
Not happening.
