Hello all got a little update and a little issue too in the flower tent. Today is Day 11 of 12/12 in the flower room, Day 62 veg and Day 22 for the new seedlings.

First off I planted the new seedlings into cups which I used the same mix as the others but mixed it down with a 50:50 mix of coco to avoid the nute burn I got with the first round so these cups are mostly coco with a little FFOF.

They were thirsty so I gave each about 1/4 of one of those solo cups of rain water which I have been collecting in a 5 gal bucket for feeding with.

Heres my little issue

These are all from the top of the flower tent canopy where the light is brightest.
Ive looked at the Plant Abuse Chart here Plant Abuse Chart but didnt see a pic that looked like this other than maybe the first pic of the magnesium deficiency but its kinda blurry so IDK.
It dont look the same as when I had the nute burn before or like the heat stress IMO. The colored spots are not crispy they are mushy and soft.

Other than that everything looks good and happy Ill get group shots once I see some bud formation happening

Re: RV Shower Multi Strain 600 Watt Organic Grow With Blue Planet Nutrients Farmers P

When I did my first grow with a buddy I had this happening to a lot of my top leaves and it ended up being because of a combo of heat and poor ventilation we had 1 passive fan and no intake or outtake and that resulted in 90+ degree temps and eventually it just burnt the edges of leaves just like urs.

Re read your post again, u say its mushy and soft? thats prolly gonna be a PH problem like stated in a post above this..

Re: RV Shower Multi Strain 600 Watt Organic Grow With Blue Planet Nutrients Farmers P

OK so Ive been researching here and other sites and still cant figure it out for sure. I was thinking its the light being too close because its only on the top leaves and more in the center of the canopy where the light is brightest. I raised it up so will see.

As far as ph goes I checked the rain water I am using and it was 6.8 before I watered last night and I didnt add nutes. I dont understand why I would have a ph problem when Ive read that ph isnt an issue with organics and I am using water with a ph of 6.8 to 7.0 to feed with???

Im hoping its what Delocated mentioned about the ventilation and heat. Right now I have no air circulation in there during lights out and very minimal during lights on with the tent open because I f**ked up and bought a fan with a cigg lighter end for a car on it and cant find an adapter yet and being that its getting colder nobody has fans on the shelves that I can put in there for circulation. Guess Ill be payin double for one at the local garden supply store.

I forgot to mention that I got the 100 bux back from GSL last Monday. Dude put it thru while I was on the phone with him so all good there but I couldnt use paypal for ordering seeds so I had to transfer the money and wait and then I got a prepaid which wasnt accepted so now I have to go get a different prepaid when I go to town in a couple days.

Re: RV Shower Multi Strain 600 Watt Organic Grow With Blue Planet Nutrients Farmers P

its looks really like nute lock-out to me too, i mean that's the cause, i think the symptom is phosphorous lockout, it classically attacks leaves like the that, along the side ect, only thing is i dont know why they are soggy, that makes it sounds like a disease/infection??

Re: RV Shower Multi Strain 600 Watt Organic Grow With Blue Planet Nutrients Farmers P

i know very little about organic soil grows, my experience is coco and hydro. However to me it looks like a ph issuse. To say ph doesnt matter in organics, im not sure but the ph determines what can be absorbed in rootzone and what cant, so i dont see how that is different with organics? def check it out. And that def doesnt look like phosphorus def to me.

Last night I watered the veg tent did some defol and bent and twisted some branches on day 56 of veg

Mystery and Mango seedlings day 26

I bought a cheap soil ph test kit (10 tests for 5 bux) with color comparison chart and both flowering ladies were in the 6.5 to 7 range. I didnt test the veg plants because they look fine which is what I dont understand they all have the same soil bulk mixed the same day watered/fed with the same water with the same ph going in. The only difference at this point is that I fed the 2 in flower transition nutes and have them in flower, which is now beginning so today will be day 1 of flower.

Heres something I just found.

Zinc Deficiency
Problem: Younger leaves start yellowing in between the veins. Leaf tips get discolored and start dying. the leaves will take a unique banded appearance and the plant will stop growing vertically. There will be much less space between new nodes which will cause all the new leaves to start bunching together. If the plant is budding, it's flowers may start dying.

Solution: Flush your system with clean, pH'd water that contains about half the nutrients needed for the plant (including zinc, iron, and manganese). Watch to make sure that the problem starts to clear up on new growth within a couple of days.

Manganese and Iron deficiency were 2 others I found but Zinc looked more like my leaves in the pics I saw

Tomorrow will be watering day in the flower tent so I will flush with 6.5 ph water and collect the runoff to check ph and see where Im at.

pH is everything. If problems arise in the younger, new leaves, it is an immobile nutrient and is typically a micro like zinc, etc... lower the pH to correct this and give a bit more Micro. You can get a cheap soil pH meter at Lowes or Home Depot for about $10. It isn't the most accurate but I have used them in soil grows for years. Those test strips are not the best method of pH testing in soil grows imo. A soil probe is a very cheap and good investment. You should probably get one of those so you can get a clearer picture of what the pH of the soil is. You can also poke it into multiple places in the soil and take quite a few readings within a few minutes. my 2 cents...

Re: RV Shower Multi Strain 600 Watt Organic Grow With Blue Planet Nutrients Farmers P

Thanks Corey.

I have a 100$ ph pen so I guess Ill start using it every watering and get the water to 6.5 before feeding as strickly420 suggested and check runoff each time too to make sure everything is in order. Ill get a ph probe too next trip to town.

Still kinda confused as to how one tent is perfect and the other isnt when they get the same water going in but I guess thats nature for ya.
