RSO using 99% alcohol

It is used first to cook off the bulk of the iso solution. I put it on the nuwave and keep the pie plate full of solution. Once im down to the last of it i put the solution from the pie plate into the small stsinless cup to finish cooking off

Thanks for the reply, I thought those pyrex dishes [ glass ] weren't meant to be places on those induction stoves ? I suppose it depends on how hot you run them eh ? thanks again

You need a steel pan or sheet to fool the induction burner. I used to use an electric frying pan but this is much better control.

Get a distiller
alcohol is too expensive to let evaporate into the air
It’s safer with less fumes also

Why go the most dangerous route ???? -- fumes can build up . Didn't see anything about ventilation.. Get yourself a distiller and you can recapture most of your alcohol (cost effective) , and no fumes build up.. Once ya get it down to 2 cups or so then use the induction cook top.. I prefer to use a rice cooker with the 2 cups in a large Pyrex cup sitting in a water bath in the cooker.. This slowly evaporates the final amounts of alcohol off -- absence of bubbles and the scent of alcohol lets ya know you're done and ready to sample...

Once all the alcohol is cooked off I tilt the cup in the water bath , this keeps the oil fluid whilst I fill up syringes with the oil -- I weigh them in 2-3 gram parcels in disposable syringes.. Anything ya can't get outta the cup at the end just wipe out with a paper and roll yourself one, get everything you worked for!

99% iso is cheap and it goes without saying that you do this outdoors. I cook it off for as long as it takes for no bubbles at 220 degrees. All iso and water is evaporated. Iso is old school and is all iv ever used. Dont look dangerous to me man. Lol

I do it all on my table top -- no fumes whatsoever and I reclaim my solvent --- I think ya call that , winner winner chicken dinner............. I used iso in the late 70's... back then ya had to go to a pharmacy to get it, if ya wanted 99.9 %.

Food grade alcohol is preferred by this cook, iso leaves nasties behind. But to each their own - what the hell.
