RQS Critical x2: Photos In Veg 90 Days, Just Flipped

@Bill284 how’s you today buddy?
Hope your well:)
Don’t want to pester while you’ve got it goin full on, but I’m going to anyway;)

.. made myself a May pole kinda thing out of some bamboo and wire to hold them up..they’re all setting bud now.
987696F8-9D23-4EAA-9B2F-E41B71BFFE05.jpeg
questions to you sir…
Is it ok for me to supercrop all the main colas at this point going into flower ?
No clue what else I can do really.
And can I supercrop 1 branch twice , as one I’ve done has already shot up again?
Any help appreciated as ever matey..
Peace to ya

Bill will probably have a better answer but I'd say yes to both. My auto Skywalker Haze I supercropped the main stem twice in the space of a week when she was in flowering. First one popped back up quick so I hit her again lower down.

You can also tie the supercropped branches down to stop them popping back up.

Just spent a good while catching up on your journal now that I can finally come up for air. WOW man. You have a TON of stuff going on. In a loft yet. WOW. I know how hard you work, but this is working like a one-armed paper hanger on a deadline. Lol. Those outdoor blueberry moonrocks are intensely gorgeous, can hardly believe they will just simply do that with nothing but rain water. Incredible. Makes me wanna grow it badly. The Chiquita Bananas I've been interested in since the beginning as I almost ordered that seed so many times. I wish I knew the answer to your supercropping question but you obviously know who to ask. My understanding was to not do it once you flip, but I could be wrong. If you CAN supercrop still, maybe do it a little lower on the branch this time to eliminate more vertical height? You could have worse problems, lol.

WOW man. Bring it home.

Hey @Bud Love your never a bother, never.
So my Blueberry is a sativa and stretches into the light every grow.
If its a problem I do exactly that, supercrop.
Which is just bending any problem branches.
It can be done at any point during flower without any ill effects. Imo.
I merely squeeze the branch where required and crank it over.
I have rolls of twist tie wire from the dollar store ( pound shop) I use to tie the branch down. Thats why I put those zip ties into the air pots before I fill them and leave them there permanently. Tie points.
That way it can't pop back up and you only have to touch it once.
Sometimes I can just tie it over without having to pinch any branches.
I do it with my other ladies to open up the canopy, just tie the tops over to let light into the center.
As long as you have room laterally (sideways) hehe, just spread them out as best you can. She still knows which branches are tops and puts required energy into them regardless of horizontal placement.
If you get them young enough buds will still grow vertically. (Up) hehe
Your good to go my friend. :thumb:

Lmao. As usual Bill, your answers to questions in other people's journals answer as many questions for me as the ones I constantly pepper you with myself. Glad it's not just me! Lol!

Anything at all Jon Anything. Just let me know im glad to help.
I'm still going to do the extra period of darkness we discussed.
As soon as I'm running again, I've also read of a couple other techniques to improve harvest we can discuss and implement if valid. When ready.
Take care my friend.

Hey mate.. nice to see ya:) and I hope your good ?
thank you for the kind words and encouragement Jon, always appreciated:).
Loft growing… my recommendation would be not to do it, if you have anywhere else available… and I mean feckin anywhere:). Use that space first:)..
an yeah.. it’s crazy how good she looks compared to the others. Shes pretty enough to a bit of an attention grabber. And I don’t really want the neighbours attention..So gonna move her deeper into the raspberry patch.
The Chiquita girls are coming on, just about to get some 3gal air pots ready for their move up. maybe.2/3 days or so? And then it’s training day(month?)for myself and the girls … The nodes are packed together quite well, so, I’m hoping to at least get an attempt at my first quad line going and maybe even more than 4from the back up.. see what happens ey..
Indeed Jon.. I was thinking the same, lower would be better:) first attempt at a supercrop, and it was all a bit twitchy for me.. however, the last 2 I was a little more confident and came down the branch some.
I’ve been growing them as autos, if I knew they were photo I wouldn’t of put them in yet, I had other plans for the tent.. but as you say, there are worse probs to have:) It’s all great fun if I’m honest, this little surprise just adds to it all;)
Thanks for taking the time Jon..
Peace and buds to ya.

Thank you @VetSmoke85 very much appreciated sir.. she’s already up into the light . I shall take a few before/after pics of the deed for my next post.
keep well mate, cheers for the time:)

Hey Bud Love- beautiful pics!

I'll add one other handy training tip for height control. "Pinching " - it's exactly as it sounds. Pinch the branch gently till you feel the "pop". It'll slow the growth on that branch and possibly create a knuckle. It's also HST. It's not a replacement for super cropping but is a good to know trick to know and can help.

Thanks Rexer, very much appreciated sir..
All things that I wasn’t going to look at until Id got the hang of a little 3 plant perpetual run going with autos… ha, and here we are, not even at the end of the grow… I’ve got 6 photos and I’m learning supercropping and pinching to boot..plans ey?;)
I’ve still got 2 autos going.. and I find myself scratching my head thinking .. wtf.. how the f#*k did I end up here.. plans ey? Who needs them:)
Peace to ya mate❤️

Little bit awkward getting up here and moving around with the fracture on the ankle, sooo, a bit slow on the updates.
Day 26(ish)
Sylstar GL 4000 / @Weed Seeds Express tent
As has been mentioned the temps and Rh have been a bit troublesome up in the loft..However.. these WSE girls are troopers, and the only problem they’ve had is ME!
I was a little slow getting them into they’re 1gsl air pot and fell a little short when it came to feeding and watering..on time.
The first set of pics are from Wednesday. As I up-potted the CB and the PG.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a pic of the roots before they went in.
It’s the usual suspects for the growing medium, Bokashi/frass/coir/perlite. In layers up the pot

Garden looks great my friend.
Pic number 3 i see the layers nice work.
I add perilite to my coco mix aswell as layering the trio of goodness.
I don't see any in the actual coco itself.
Just a thought for your next run.
Great work mucker. :bravo:

DAY 24. The back up

WeedSeedExpress Chiquita Banana. D.O.B. 15/06/2021

I’ve acquired a little pack of Living Soils to try out.. and try it I will :) It says to double up for coir.. so going in at 4tbs /gal.
I’m still going to layer up the medium with Bill284’s magic mix. Which isn’t a far cry from whats going on with the Living Soul ingredients anyway..

Got it all mixed up together and potted up as below. Using the same size cup sat in the pot and packed tightly all around still layered with the medium. This is done to make a nice neat hole for the girl to drop right in.

Loving it.. those layers in the hole look perfect. Do you bake cakes by any chance  If not; you need to. It looks Edible, like a chocolate and cream cake..
I will be watching closely, it's a learning curve for all of us :thumb:
