Nope. Just trichomes for sure. You have nothing to worry about. Here's a picture of one of my plants trichomes. They look the same way. I forget who it was, but someone on here told me that trichomes come in all shapes. Sometimes those spiky ones develop heads later on, sometimes they don't. But they are trichomes. Of this I am as certain as I am about anything I think I know.

BTW - notice that most of the spiky ones in your picture are on the hairs. That's badass. Some of mine are the same way. Seems like the leaves and bud gets more round headed ones and the hairs get spikey ones sometimes. Least that's what I had.

Hey bud and Jon.

Those long hairs you're referring to are actually called papillae and they are a parts of the stigma (pistils) from each calyx as it grows.

Jon, the spiky trichomes that you are speaking of that don't develop bulbous heads are called cystolithic hairs and are found on the outside of the bracts or calyxes.

Here is the anatomy of the whole calyx/pistol/trichome production.

WOW, awesome! Thank you very much!! Now I can stop sounding like an idiot. At least I got the part right that he has nothing to worry about. Lol. Thanks for real man, always appreciate the education.

Is it true that all of those parts contain THC? Or just the trichomes?

I knew there was some science to it so I went searching for that picture as I've looked at it before and I couldn't remember the scientific names for each part lol it was a little re-educating for me as well.

As far as I know, only the trichomes store cannabinoids. But other parts of the plant contain many other properties that are good for us as well including antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and so on.

Peace to ya dude
Hey @Bud love
Hope your well mucker.
I’m up north looking at facilities.
Talk about eye candy, yum.
Bigger and better things to come.
Like @Rexer said to me, short term pain for long term gain.
So everything is shut down being packed and moved. Makes things hard to update. I messaged sponsors and explained my situation and they are fine with me taking a bit away from my obligations.
It’ll take a bit but don’t fret I’ll be back better than before.
In the meantime I’ll try and pop in daily for my fix of your beautiful ladies.
Keep up the good work it gives me something to strive for.
Bill
