root bound

when repotting a root bound plant, does it help to remove part of the root ball before going into a larger container .

I wouldnt cut any roots off it. What i do is take the bottom edge and try to fluff it out some. If it is really bound up bad you might not have much luck doing that. Then i would just plant it as is. Just going to take a bit of time to right it self but it should after a week or two.

I grab it and loosen up the roots so they break the shape that they get stuck in due to the pot. Loose roots on the transplant so they can travel as they please.
