Rider509 First Grow - Indoor Soil - White Widow Journal - 2017

1 for one good or bad?

Good. Bad would be "oh for one" (zero for one) meaning that the transaction was completed on the buyer's end but the seller didn't come through. It's a colloquialism with the basic meaning of "successes per try."

Don't mean to get off topic, but seedsman takes master card, and they're 1 for 1 with me.
You can also bitcoin with a lot of these places. I usually look for a bitcoin atm in my area. I usually get an extra 10% for doing so. It seems a little complicated but super easy once you get the hang of it...only down side is the price is always changing.

That last Widow is fakin sick lookin. Thats one to be proud of for sure. Ya pushed the edge of the envelope right from day 1 and it payed off.

Thanks, Dawg! Ya know what's funny is that plant is Booby. The one who had her seed shell stuck, who lost a cotyledon, who was topped late, who lost a major limb to heavy handed training, and who got a freaky molybdenum deficiency. She's my three-legged monster. I check her twice a day to keep tabs on trichome development/degradation and she is still putting out clear trichomes and popping new calyxes with no amber evident. She's a fighter for sure. I'm still feeding her a reduced flower diet, about 0.6EC (420ppm), because I have my doubts about the whole flush thing. But that topic has been beaten to death in these forums.

On a complete side note, I've vaped the small stuff from my first harvest three nights in a row and it's freaking awesome. Very terpin heavy of course since it hasn't been cured. It's like vaping Tanqueray. But I'm digging the hell out of the energetic buzz. Life is good. :)

Prefer that energetic creative buzz myself. Enjoy!!! You earned it. Lucky rascal you!! :thumb:

You know, if I could determine the exact day that the right amount of Trichomes were going to be cloudy I'd feel a whole lot better about flushing a week or so ahead of time. My fear is flushing when I think the time is right and then finding out its not ready to harvest yet. My strain is advertised as 70 day flower time. I'm thinking I'll feed to 70 days and then flush. If it ripens sooner then so be it, I'd like good Terpin free flavor but I'll take quality bud first, every time.

What are we gonna do to try and fuck things up on the second grow? Its apparent we weren't even good at that on this grow. lol. I keep reading about this pound a plant horse shit, maybe I'll shoot for that next time and see If I can even get close.

That's one reason I want to keep growing this Blackberry Kush strain I got. I've already finished it out twice before so I know when to flush and harvest. Guess work sucks!

A trick someone taught me is to use molasses water right until they barely start showing amber (if you want 50/50 amber cloudy) and then flush with plain water for a week. I guess the molasses gives the plants enough carbohydrates and stuff to keep flowering, and they'll take what other nutrients they need out of their leaves, so this way you're still flushing but not prematurely starving the plant. You have to give a week of plain water though because the sugar in the molasses can taste harsh when smoked.

Not sure I buy the flush thing after reading up on it. It seems counterintuitive to deprive the plants of nutrients when they're expending so much energy making flowers.

As to the fucking things up I don't even have to try. I'm a natural at it! I can fuck up a wet dream.

Its hard to really tell. Obviously you dont want to starve them but you dont want to smoke all those sugars and nutes in the plant

The first two plants are in pint jars for curing. Def won't win any yield awards but, hey, they didn't die! The last WW from seed is still going strong and the clone is flowering up fast.

I got some 62% from amazon that I'm going to use. Put moisture in or take it out. Kinda like a thermos, keeps the hot stuff hot and the cold stuff cold and how the hell does it know.

Well hell. I don't want to chop her since she is still popping new calyxes but I'm starting to see amber trichs. I kept hoping the buds would get more dense but then it's an auto and I did beat the snot outta her. I should just be glad she didn't herm on me.

The clone is a happy plant and looks like I'd expect a WW to look like. What will be funny is if the clone out-produces the plants I manhandled.
