Rickster Has Amnesia: CBD & Maybe OG Kush?

With the FIM are you going to do anything else? What I mean is LST as well on top of it and you will have a bush

I'm hoping I'll get 4 shoots coming off that level and I'll do some LST with those then. Fingers crossed.

Mini update:

CBD shows no stress from yesterdays fimming. Too early to see if it's going to work, but there is more activity on the lower growth nodes. OG Kush is steadily increasing in size the the Amnesia continues to be a very bushy plant and is slowly stretching. No signs of any pre-flower on any of them.

Yeah, thank god! Took this grow forever to get off the ground, but they seem to be happy now. I am hoping the Amnesia will start growing more vertical. She's awfully bushy.

Side note: One of my Vivosun clamp on fans has already gone Tango Uniform. Seems to be a broken wire. It will run in one position, but when it oscillates to the right it dies.

I just took my broken pole oscillating fan apart and the center piece of the motor wore flat lol wires can be fixed tho

I saw a fix on youtube that didn't work for my last vivosun clamp fan that died, but I think it will work for this one. Reroutes the power wire that seems to break with the back and forth oscillation.

Update:

Amnesia got another 3.5g megacrop in a gallon of water. She also got some more aggressive pruning from the bottom. She is starting to stretch, but I would like to see her stretch a bit more. You can really see a difference in her sativa heritage compared to the short, fat leaves of the pure Indica OG Kush. CBD is looking ok, I don't know if there is going to be any benefit from the fimming still, so we'll have to wait a bit more. Both of them are going to get half a gallon of a 2g/gallon megacrop feed tomorrow.

Not too much to report. Amnesia cruising along and stretching a bit every day. Not much to see from one day to the next though. CBD plant is reaching up to the light and I think the only effect of the fimming is that I have some clipped leaves. She seems to want to grow straight up and put off side shoots, so I think at this point, I'm just going to let her go. She got 1/2 gallon of 2g/gal megacrop yesterday and I'll watch her leaves to see if the curling of the tips goes away.

OG Kush got a half gallon of 2g/gal megacrop yesterday as well. She shows no signs of leaf curling and Fastbuds says to give plenty of fertilizer, so next feeding I'm going to up it to 2.5. OG Kush also got a haircut this morning. She was growing strong, so I figured she would tolerate a topping. Hopefully I can get her to spread out a bit like the Amnesia has. I could use some premium smoke, so I'm hoping to get at least 3-4 ounces off of each of the two. CBD who knows.

Anyway, here is OG Kush and the bit I lopped off...and then ate! I always eat what I top. Weird huh?

Update:

Amnesia got one gallon of 3.75g/gal megacrop last evening and trimmed a good deal of lower leaves and shoots that won't amount to anything, but you'd never know it today. This thing is a bush but it's starting to get taller.

OG Kush is not showing any stress from her topping. She looks wonderful to me. I've never had a plant so close to pure indica. She'll get a stronger drink in a day or so.

CBD is doing her thing. Still showing some leaf curling but no burnt tips. If you look closely you can see the amputated leaves that I tried to fim.

EDIT: I just noticed that the CBD plant is starting to show some pre-flower activitiy. I'm hoping some of those side branches will take off or this little girl may not produce a lot. I am baffled why she shows signs of N overage on such a low dose of Megacrop. For her I'm going to keep it where it is but I also don't want to stunt her growth by not giving enough. I'll have to watch closely. @Emilya do you have any thoughts on this one? Am I reading this right on the curled down leaf tips of the CBD auto?

Mini Update:

So I started to do some LST on the little OG Kush plant. She seemed to have no stress from the topping, so I figured I'd start stretching her a bit. Amnesia still threatening to take over the tent. I raised the light a bit and turned up the intensity to keep it where it was, which was about 32K on the top of the Amnesia, 24K at the top of the CBD and about 22 on the OG, which is okay distribution considering their ages. Eventually, they should all catch up in size and then I'll have to rotate their position in the tent because I can't get equal light distribution. I have ordered two separate heat sinks so that I can move the two boards apart a bit and that should even up the light.

Nothing much else to show for now. Going RV camping for a few days but I'll be back home tomorrow for an appointment in town and to see if they need anything, then they'll have to be ok till Sunday evening.

Update:

Got back from camping and got my RV parked in my yard which is a huge win! No more $130 a month for storage. Came home to a surprisingly dry Amnesia so she got a feeding of 4.35g/gal megacrop. I also trimmed up a bunch more underneath, but the pic hardly shows how much I took off. She's going to be a good plant I think. OG Kush was springing up from her first tying down and I tied a few more main shoots. I think she should be good to go now and I'm hoping she'll take off.

CBD is starting to flower. She got such a slow start that she's not going to amount to much I don't think. She's a bit of a dwarf.

Everybody got fed on Friday when we came home for my wife to go to her DMV appointment and CBD and OG are still quite damp. As mentioned, Amnesia was really dry.

She looks a bit sad she was already dry after being fed Friday.

Well, I have some doohickeys from @SgtKiLLx to attach to my tent poles to hold PVC pipe to prevent the sides from sucking in from my intake fan and it's time to get them installed. The Amnesia plant no longer fits without her leaves getting deformed by the sides of the tent. She's getting taller as well. Looking at the first picture I took of this plant, you would never know it would turn into such a bush. OG Kush is going to be good as well if I don't mess anything up. Each time I tie it down, it snaps back quickly. I'm not going to waste time with pics of the CBD as often, she really looks stunted. If that's the case, it's my fault.

At some point, the humidity level in the tent is going to be a bit too high for flowering. I don't want to drop it too soon or too much because the OG is still at a level where it needs the moisture according to the VPD chart I have for vegetative growth. I'll have to try outside the tent but near the air intake. Eventually, when all are in flower, I'll probably leave the humidifier off altogether.

I did do more defoliation and found some early signs of cal/mag deficiency on some of the older fan leaves. I found it after I fed her, so I'll have to wait till the next feeding to perhaps add a bit of cal/mag. OG and CBD still damp down a few inches so they'll wait for a drink.

So, we're about a month or so in and everyone seems to be doing well. Amnesia's pot is already feeling a bit light. She'll be ready for a feed tomorrow. OG Kush was ready this afternoon, so I gave her a full gallon of 3g/gal megacrop. CBD is still looking a bit sad but seems healthy. I've never grown a plant without training, so I don't know if that's why or because of her slow start, but she's my runt. I'm not sure whether to up her megacrop to see if she'll grow any more or listen to the curved leaf tips and keep it at around 2.5g/gal. @Emilya if you get a chance, can you weigh in?

Amnesia on the other hand is a beast. She's seriously threatening to block out the other two, so I raised them up a bit. I'm turning the humidifier on and off based on the humidity in the room. I do have a humidistat I need to hook up so I can control it a bit better.

I would say that as long as the color looks good and you see no leaf damage, you are wise to listen to what the leaves are telling you and keep it where it is for now. Some plants, especially sativas, don't need as much as a big fat indica would.
