Rex's Perpetual Hydroponics, LED, 4x4 Tent Using TBC 10 Gal System: All Are Welcome, Come Learn & Help

Most of the plumbing inside is done. Just a few things left to get done... but everything is on track to have the girls inside soon enough (next week max?). I'll want to have it running empty for at least a day or two before putting the plants in.

I also still have to figure out if my pump is going to be strong enough to pass water through the RO system, or if I gotta buy a booster pump.

Here's a pic from last night of the seedlings (haven't checked them for a bit).

@Buds Buddy

Looking good @Rexer

Just something to thing about; the legs on the pots may need something to disturb the weight, so they don't put holes in the base lining.

that's a good observation. even some oversize coasters would probably help. otherwise a few pieces of plywood would work great.

Hey I’ve been watching your Bucket Company build and I’m impressed with it, it’s got everything legs to get it off the floor, spray and drip rings the flex pipe to the rez, multiple attachment points, net baskets and the cool ass erector set straps. I’m interested in the gear too not just the final product. That was smart to order extra net baskets and I’m just waiting to see this puppy launch your garden into outer orbit

Looking amazing brother. :green_heart:
Thanks Dusty! If I don't get pulled away to deal with other cral I'm hoping to get this filled with media and water by end of weekend. Been rough lately, but I guess now everyone sees why I didn't do a journal on my cabinet build
Took me months to build what a normal person could hammered out in a weekend, but I'm stubborn :blunt:

Thanks 013! It really means a lot hearing all the kindness, if you haven't there's a member @LandoC who has been running The Bucket Company in coco and knocking it out of the park. He's got a great journal as well if you want so more good reading on the setup.
It's also made in the USA so, it supports some work to my neighbors .
Cool set up, I will jump on Board here, If that's ok?
Looking forward to learning something new
Good luck for the future :thumb:
Squiggle! Glad to have on board!
It's slow start, but should just get better and better once fully setup (knock on wood)!
If you have any questions or comments don't be shy! It's my greatest hope that this journal becomes a place to learn how to do Hydroponics (but then again, don't we all want that of our journals?).

That being said my friends, if someone jumps on with a how to question feel free to jump in & answer to keep the conversation going!

I'll have a real update soon, I finally did a small parts run and will be working on it tomorrow....

So one seedling is not looking too good and is getting tossed....and a new bean has been popped (super skunk).

Here's a quick pic for now :Namaste:

Any questions?
Ok then

Is it possible to shout at somebody using sign language??
Well my friend, I know when I'm being baited

But when looking up something clever, I learned the following:

Deaf people "shout" by using a combination of four changes to their everyday signing:

  • adding more energy to their signing - signing more forcefully, more sharply.
  • signing much larger than usual.
  • signing faster than usual
  • exaggerating their facial expressions

Oh I won't lie, I was searching for something between clever and unoffensive (I am Canadian after all), then I stumbled onto that. But you did ask lol

this is the SuperSkunk 12hrs after dropping seed into rapid rooter- no presoak on the seed.

I fell off for a bit Rex. Your setup looks fantastic. Great to see the others chime in on some tips as well.
Your babies are off to a great start. Nicely done. Great images btw. Nice work.
Thanks! And no worries, it's been a slow start this time as I'm including the setup. You're stretched thin my friend, so never worry :Namaste:

Hey rexer. Going to find a seat here and keep an eye on this beauty of a system you got there. I've never seen or heard of it before and its very interesting, seems like they got a lot of things worked out here in the making that really helped with the setup line cross braces and the ability to change the way you want to use the system. I definitely want to see it in action. I'm a dirt/soilless grower that just got into dwc as a project so it's nice to see a flexible product like this that can adapt to everyone's needs.

Keep up the good work, those seedlings are going to be happy I just know it!

It's actually quite an interesting fact. Sorry for the off topic humour; it won't happen again.

Back to the topic.
Great start.
Do all your seeds that have been in rapid rooter, germinate that quick
As it may be a handy tool in my kit if that is the case

Hey @dick23rk
glad to have you! Pull up a chair, it's a slow start but I'm hoping to make some good progress today, I just have to do some work for a client later.

Funny thing, those little plastic bars are designed to be used to hold stakes. I just use them like Lego to snap the buckets in position....I ordered a bunch of spare ones when getting the kit.

the stakes can be setup kinda like this image (snagged from online).

All good, you made me laugh. Then you made me learn, so I gotcha back.
My humor is hit and miss, but doesn't mean I don't enjoy it! Ain't nothing wrong with some off topic humor!

The rapid rooters...this is my 1st grow/times using them. The SuperSkunk Genetics (only 1 seed left after this one) that I got are awesome and vigorous growers, which is why I choose it. She'll catch up to the other ones in no time, and might surpass them even. At the end of the day I need meds for my pain and this was a way for me to light an extra fire under my butt to push through pain.
I also think what I'm giving them is helping a bit. I'll go over the complete nutrient kit when the seedlings get into their home.

Now isn't that friggin handy. Use em however you can, looks like there could be multiple ways to use them. Can't wait to see them in action.
