RETRIX Does:

Hey @RETRIX I'd like to join the guys over at your BBQ station if there's room. I'll try to be quiet and behave but, no promises.

I grow photo's indoors, organic and perpetual so it'll be interesting to follow along the smorgasbord of grow styles you've got going.

The early seed sexing post Otter did comes from The Rev and his True Living Organics book, just out this past spring. Worth a read if you do organics.

There have been several of us that have successfully used the 12/12 for 10 days trick, so I guess we can add your name to the Success List!
Thank you Azimuth. Yes I was surprised at how well that 10 day trick worked!

I haven't been paying a lot of attention to this plant, considering it a lost cause. However, today, I decided to snap a few photos and I have to say that the buds have certainly filled out, as strange as they look to me. Look who knows? This might turn out to be some straight fire. At any rate, we have about to weeks left and this big fluffy girl is getting chopped, so I guess we will see.

July 21 marks 75 days for this weird plant. It has rained for the last 2 days with storms predicted throughout this last week. The girl is heavily waterlogged due to all of the rain. So I have made the decision to chop her down as soon as the weather gives me one good day of drying.

Alright so here is what I ended up with. Kind of small for such a big pot but you never know. If it is a satisfying smoke then it was worth it. Maybe I should stop being such a pessimist?

So at any rate this one is done and dusted and will be drying and curing for the next month or so, then I'm going to continue the hunt for a female Appalachia F5.

The final yield is always looks smaller than the flowering lady. Those looks trained though, I suggest you've put a lot of efforts into those plants

Okay so the serial crusher has had time to dry and cure and It has made a believer out of me. It's not the prettiest bud by any means. I don't know if it is that this was grown outside in the hot sun, the strain, or a little of both, but it is some of the best herb that I have tried, and it is a hit with all of my friends. It is a nice loopy, bewildering high that is excellent at pain relief.

So with project Serial Crusher finished, I thought I would spend another Appalachia F5 scratch off.

I have already done the 10 days of 12/12 and it doesn't show any signs of ahem, male tendencies, so I have transplanted said Appy F5 to a 3 gal with promix soil which is horribly hydrophobic at the moment.

I drenched it with a compost tea, a little Cal/Mag, some Superthrive, Espoma liquid organic fertilizer, and a touch of growmax soluable seaweed. The goal is to grow this hopefully girl up into a nice medium sized mother plant and take some clones. We'll see what happens in the next few weeks.

One thing that I can say about this plant if nothing else, is that it is a great conversation starter at BBQ's. Often you can find groups of men standing around it telling war stories and bonding over beers. So there is that I guess.

Loopy bewildering pain-free conversations are the best! :welldone: Retrix.

Wow nice GYO. It's nice to know that it isn't getting unruly.

So I removed the rockwool from the roots to expose them to the air ( I really need to adopt my clone bucket for clone collars) trimmed the excess foliage from the clones, and increased the spray interval to 3 seconds every 3 minutes. Now I need to give them a few days for a proper rootball and then I will transplant these girls to their buckets.
