Hi guys welcome to my new grow room
I have grown with a 400w phillips HPS light for 16 months and just made the transition to LED. A major part of this journal will be about how well the LEDs perform and if(and by how much) the quality varies from HPS grow green. The strain I am growing I've already run two times so I know how to feed them and hopefully there won't be too many nute burns
I currently have 20 reserva privada (dna genetics) og #18 cuts (taken from 3 different mothers, from three og #18 seeds). The plants are growing in pebbles in a dutch pot hydro system (basically just a normal hydro).
Vegged for one month, there's quite a difference in height between different clones, hopefully scrog nets will solve that.
Started flower on 26-5-2014, flower time is +- 65 days so 31-7-2014 according to the agenda (however I'll probably end up running it a bit longer, as usual).
Temps:
Day = 24-25.5 celsius (75 - 78 f)
Night = 18-20 celsius (64.5 - 68 f)
Lights:
3* Mars II 400W (actual draw about 185w) flower spectrum (also vegged under these flower spectrum, will purchase veg leds for next grow i think)
Other:
Humidifier
Plagron hydro nutrients (hydro a & b, enzymes, root stim, green sensation).
Will try to add UV light to half the tent to see what that does.
What the manufacturer says about the og #18: 9weeks flow, 500-600g/m2
DNA Genetics The OG 18 :
"We selected The #18 out of the feminized OG Kush seeds we first released. The #18 was so good in many ways we had to re-feminize her! She takes on a more Sour taste then the original OG and at least a 1/3 better yield. She has the yield and fuely sour taste of the Chem Dawg with the OG-Chem power. Flowering in 9 weeks this is a keeper pheno, with rock hard buds that shine with crystals. If a more refined Sour version of the OG Kush is what your after, here it is. This is a re-work project that just keeps getting better, stronger, and fatter than the parent!!! This is Video Game herb! 1st Hydro Spannabis 2011 2nd Indica HT Cannabis Cup 2009 3rd Indica HT Cannabis Cup 2007"
I have grown this strain before, here are a couple of notes:
If i get 300/m2 with training and no major nute deficiencies im happy. Very happy.
Stretch is bout 250-300%.
Training is difficult compared to indica pheno strains (eg: they dont look like xmas trees, when you top its not obvious what the two main colas are... but on the other hand nearly all buds end up at the same height: the lowest branches stretch most)
It smells good. Really good. Id say smell/taste is the best part of these girls.
A long cure is needed but pays back. Last time i dried for 10 days and cured for 2 months. The smell became truly dank only after 45 days cure.
Further info:
I topped nearly all of them 2 weeks before 12/12, and bent the longest. (only the shortest are left untouched).
