Renegade's Hydro Flux - Featuring TwiLight Group's 432 Watt Spider COB LED

I would say the seedling stage is over when the first set of cotyledon leaves have grown several inches long and the second set of leaves is well underway. It is best not to have your roots sitting in the nutrient solution when you are adjusting the pH of the reservoir. I would remove the plants from the reservoir area and complete the pH adjustment then place the plants back into position.

This will be the newest learning curve. How to add and adjust water as we go. So the plan is to get the second res going....adjust the PH then drain and fill which is what I was planning...due to the size of the res. Seems simple enough.

Welcome, welcome one and all. And especially the Professor. Not to down play all others but this is his style and his input is greatly appreciated and needed.

I didn't want to send out the invites just yet till she pop'd. Nirvana seeds have never failed me and no reason for this one to fail either. She pop'd in 2 days. She is really reaching for the lights. I'll post a pic later when I return from my MC ride. And I have to change out the water with some adjusted water and rooting nutes.

F'n chiller is getting me down so it will be back to ice bags till I get it fixed. At this point I would say DON'T purchase the "Coolworks Ice Probe" if your looking for support. You really shouldn't need it if it works. Mine doesn't and support is out the door.

Welcome 60cal.... Glad you could join the show. Hopefully it will be worth the wait....LOL.

Res changed out for some adjusted water and GH's RapidStart.

She was planted Wednesday night, pop'd on Friday night and Saturday morning the dome was removed and lights were turned on. Not sure if you can see from these latest pics but I was able to re-seat her lower in her pod.

As promised pics of our new baby gurl...

Official invites will go out this week but want to thank all that have joined the show early. With all the help and prayers she will succeed.

trichomes,

I couldn't pm you back so I need to say it here if you don't mind Renegade...Thank you so much for the kind welcome and for the offer of help. I will definitely check out your "yard". I have not started my first grow yet because I want to get a good handle on things before I begin. At first I thought I might do DWC, but the more I read the journals, the more it seems that soil or some offshoot of that is the way to go. I totally love the idea of training this wonderful plant to produce more of it's goodness. Fluxing looks a little complicated, but I have all the time in the world to figure it out and with people like you and Renegade who offer their help, I think it will be quite rewarding.

420mag is really turning out to be a nice place...friendly, caring, knowledgeable growers. :thanks:

looking good Renegade :goodjob: NICE SET UP :bravo:

I look forward to your strict military skills, while you TRAIN HARD!!

Fluxers Unite!! :circle-of-love:

Drop by any time, Fluxy Lady is getting close to harvest,

if LA's not around, every body is welcome, to hit me up!:passitleft::circle-of-love:

Lol.... I was just trolling your journal my brother. Welcome... And you know I'm always there to see how she's doing.

You know how us ex DI's do it..."Your Shits in the wind troop, Bah".

Before long I will have her reciting that old BT chant...."Sergeant, thank you for conditioning my mind and my body. Please feel free to do so at any time. Private "Fluxy" request permission to RECOVER!!!"....LOL.

I'll have her doing push ups till I get tired...lol.

Your AG journal truly just opened my eyes. +reps for you my friend! I have an AG and never even thought about using it for the seedling stage and maybe early veg. I bought and used it years ago and it has just been sitting empty for about 5-6 years.

The scrog in your AG journal looks totally different than the one in the pics above. However, the AG one looks like it could be something I possibly could make to fit what I am working on. This is probably a stupid question, but like I said, I'm not a diy'er...when you put the pvc portions into the corner fittings for the scrog frame, did you use some kind of glue? Also, what size grid do you feel is best? Some I have seen in these journals look too small, like maybe 1" square, and some look really huge, like maybe 6-8" square. I'm sure it's personal preference, but there should be some logical average size.

Sprite, first let me appologize for missing this post. I blame King...lol. I replied to his post and completely missed yours. Sorry my friend. Maybe I should stop trolling other peoples journals and pay attention to my own...lol.

Pulling up to the job site now but wanted to try and answer some of your questions. The AG experiment was fun and was able to hone my skills. I need to get me a another one because the calcium buildup was beyond repair. Hopefully I can get a used LED version by next spring. I will be used for seedling and early stages like you said. And them transplanted outside for a couple of gorilla grows.

As for the scrog, I purposely didn't glue it so I could take it apart if needed. PVC works good for this. IMO, size of squares is preference. Mine is 1" because I wanted to ensure I could better control and support the plant when she goes vertical and starts budding up.

you are on the right path to make the most of your upcoming, grow. a little extra time vegging deters some from being fluxers.

re: your not having 50 posts yet, you can get there in an hour, just by looking at the pictures in my yard and clicking the "emoticon" dudes, that are most appropriate, for your opinion, of the pics. if you don't like those pics, do it in any other 420 yard that you like.

I believe this practice is well within guidelines. i'm glad u r enjoying the site! (thanks for the space Ren :passitleft:)

  :woohoo: first good laugh of the day :high-five:

I like you style Renegade:circle-of-love:, you are going to be like a drill sarge fluxer, hard core :thumb:

i know nothing about growing with LED, but i had great success with hydro ebb and flow system. I would think you would have the lights within 6 inches of the canopy. I was at least that close running a 400 w HPS.

KingJohn , you know LED's how close to the tops, is ideal with the new LED technology? :thankyou:

I have tried clicking on whatever emoticons I see, but nothing changes, so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do??? Could you please explain a little further? Thanks.
