Relaxed's Outdoor Medical Grow - 2017

Lester the colors of those plants are amazing. I've seen you grow the SSD before and the colors you get from it make me think of a Hawaii sunset :circle-of-love:

Mahalo! Yes these are amazing strains! They never seem to let me down on the color change at moderate exposure to cooler nights. They are very aesthetically pleasing to have in the garden.

Some more pics of the rapid colorization occuring:

The UD (Chem pheno) is very healthy seedstock, they amazed me, each seed germinated into a beautiful little seedling very quickly. Looking forward to growing these.

Some pics from today. Also through in a shot of the self-cloning heirloom broccoli which is also budding. Interesting to see some striking resemblance between two very different lineages of plant. It has been common for ancient flowering plants to develop the fruit into a bud which protects the innermost embryos from predation. Both are female buds. It's just that cannabis has evolved a masterful biosynthetic pathway to produce defensive secondary metabolites (terpenes and cannabinoids) as part of its molecular arsenal.

Hi Spookies,

I would not benefit from your proposed idea, if I did that I would only end up with a fungus gnat breeding ground which I've dealt with many times, and potentially stem rot. When I potted those plants up I had just used the remainder of soil I had in the bag, trying to make the last bit of soil I had work for potting up 6 plants. In addition, the roots grow down and laterally, not really upward. So, if I did that I would see increased fungus gnat populations with no concomitant root growth in the upper layer. Pots are fine as is brother :thumb:

Thank you very much. :thanks:

All good. When you cover up stem with soil it has hormones that can give lateral root shooting response from stem. Doesn't matter looking good chief!

You greenery looks a pretty desert color to me.

I wish to know the name of that brocolli - I'm planting a mostly perennial garden outside :)

They were only fed once with Dr. Earth probiotic brew, so they should be mainly deriving all their nutrients from the rich soil.

Making good progress with these flowers, SC is getting very close. Harvestable now, but will be completely done in less than 2 weeks. :cheertwo:
