Howdy RL and good to see your garden growing. I noticed your purple JD and needed to sneak these in. I hope you don't mind. She is just starting to "kick it" and 28 days since braking ground. Great colors and hope they continue to develop as yours did, just needed your green thumb of approval .... in finding inspiration from your work, I hope your results rub off!!

Great garden as always and Happy Growing .... keep'er green ~ and purple!! ...Peace.....

Awesome goofy! That's pretty darn productive for only day 28 from breaking ground. Cheers to smooth sailing my friend :hugs: :surf:

As for my garden, pretty much everything is flowering. Weather is hot and dry, far above normal average temperatures for this time of year. Nearly summer temperatures. With it being so dry, I have foliar fed the flowering plants with SNS-604B sea kelp. This should help them "set the flower heads" at this crucial stage of development :Namaste:

They have a good day ahead of them. :volcano-smiley:

Hope it all works out in your favor...... El' Nino is making for a very wet one over here and the 4 to 5 day fronts moving through have the temps up and down. 55 to 78 one day to the next. But still, at 62 to 65* for the high here. 6 to 8 hours in the direct sun you are screwed for sure. She is totally indoors and temp and RH maintained consistent. Which would be imposable with out a green house to harness the power of the sun. It is on my list of things to get done. Thanks for the ups and hoping for conditions to stay in your favor. Will keep you updated in a week or two..... Autos are very cool!!!! Stay well and keep it green, and ...Peace.....

Cali......... what's worst. Mud-slides or drought spawned wildfires!! I'll stick with the Encephalitis or West Nile disease, plus with the hurricanes. They give you a 5 day heads up on the location//tracking position of the "Cone of Death".

Stay dry.......

...Peace.....

Plants just love a good Spring type rain.

A week of ~75-80 degree temps is planned, followed by another rain storm. Now I will feed the flowering plants a probiotic "transition tea", which should help them develop the flower heads even more. It is the Dr. Earth - Flower Girl, Bud and Bloom Booster.

Wild-caught Alaskan Fish Bone Meal, High Country Feather Meal, Naturally Mined Potassium Sulfate, Valley Grown Alfalfa Meal, Cold Water Kelp Meal, MicroActive™ Micronutrient-rich Seaweed Extract (synergistically boosted with micronized humic acids for maximum bioavailability and superior bud production).

Infused with Advanced TruBiotic – consisting of “Five Champion Strains” of beneficial soil microbes and eighteen select strains of ecto & endo mycorrhizae – which contributes to drought tolerance, enhanced nutrient availability and increased plant performance. The Dr.Earth probiotics are a most complete “broad-spectrum” bio-active package designed to work synergistically with the raw organic nutrients that make up the Flower Girl® formula. This spectacular blend builds soil health, promotes superior buds and blooms with larger and more abundant plant production.

Hey Lester, I like how you are constantly flowering plants outside while preparing indoor for a new batch!

How long do you veg them inside and how is your set up with the cfl's? Do you grow from seed or clones?

Greetings,

A beginner grower from Jamaica.

Hey Lester, I like how you are constantly flowering plants outside while preparing indoor for a new batch!

How long do you veg them inside and how is your set up with the cfl's? Do you grow from seed or clones?

Greetings,

A beginner grower from Jamaica.

Hello Kingston,

I try to veg under the CFL's for about as long as my small space restrictions allow (I only have a small vegging area). If possible, I like to veg them until they are 1-2 feet tall and fimmed (with two main tops grown in) at least. I use reflectors that were originally intended for photography to direct the CFL light. In total, it is about 180 watts of CFL that I use for vegging.

Originally, my strains came from seed, and diligent growing and selecting of phenotypes that I wanted to continue growing. So my main strains are continually cloned, one batch after another. And currently I am starting new seeds to look for another 1-2 strains to begin cloning, if I can find some nice females. Good thing about clones is that you're certain of them being females, and you don't have to worry about wasting time & energy on males (unless you are breeding).

But yes, the essential idea is to keep the rotation going, ideally, I like to release a "full batch" and at the same time have vegging clones growing to the appropriate size - by the time they are ready to be released, the "current" flowering batch shall be ready to harvest, and the vegging clones shall be ready to then take clones off them, and the cycle continues - so on and so forth.

To make sure that my spring plants go into full flower mode, even with increasing daylight hours. I make sure to run the veggies under 24/0 lighting, when they get released, they experience almost 12 hours less light per day than before, which is so much less that it minimizes the chances of revegetation.

Aloha,

:Namaste:
