I have begun vaporizing the UD and have determined that this particular batch is handsdown the best quality I've grown for myself. It just goes to show that the environment and weather can really shape a phenotype.
The weather is invariable so that obviously makes a big impact. I always say, my Spring and summer flowers are the best I'll produce all year, the fall and winter grows some good buds too, but not as good as the spring and summer. Aside that (and superior genetics), I think that it's the "little things" that make a whole lot of difference for a grow. The nutrients that are being fed in flower (not excess), what the soil composition is, how frequent the plant was watered. I've had some really good batches before, but the UD I recently cut, I'm just amazed at the flavor longevity. Washing seems to add into this equation as well. What I call a full success is when I vaporize a bowl of it, the pure intense flavor survives throughout the entire bowl. Often times, especially with cured flowers which may have evaporated some terpenes changing their exact ratio, and so the flavor can diminish after the first ~4 hits or so...
What I'm vaping is only 4 days from cut so it's basically the epitome of the strain, it's like sour lime-skunk candy with a very powerful kick. I am just vaporizing those small popcorn flowers that dried quicker than the larger flowers. The vapor quality seems to be just as good as a cured specimen, I like it way better than the top shelf club buds I've been using for the past month, as I've been patiently waiting for this batch to be done...
So nice to enjoy them while gardening the other specimens. I don't think I've ever been as happy with what I've grown as this.
