Relaxed's 2014 Outdoor Medical Grow

Could it possibly have something to do with the increasing day light perhaps? I swear it totally looks like the reveg betsy from last year.. are you feeding KCs' with the high P terdactyl guano?
Glad to read you found the freeloaders and applied the thorough "Relaxed sandal stomp" found the first praying mantis of the year on the atf yesterday, was a great sight to see, little guy has hops! ;)

Loving the insanse amount of greesy looking trichs you got going on there Les, should make for some tasty EQ rips! :bravo:

your plants look great! you should give em all a feeding and see what happens :thumb:

I love how that one girl is stacking her flowers.
Thanks! They've been getting fed once a week. :thumb:

hey Brotha is it getting hot in there or something?
Yeah, the white material is actually ment to protect plants against FROST, so it literally keeps the temps inside the tent up to 20 degrees celcius higher, which is why I need to have the sides clipped open for the breeze. :surf:

:surf:ed In to see this! Great looking pictures Lester! A garden of beauty. I'm glad you not only got the one worm, but was able to get the other one also! You're very vigilant and determined to keep your garden as pest free as possible!
Thank you kindly SABO! :)

Good day to you Lester...

WOWEOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! man that does look good, Hats off to you Sir!!!!

Great Day to you Rooster, hope you recover from injury quickly, those buds need inspecting! :cheertwo:

Hi Man, wow great grow!:)

Whats this guy saying about topping KC45?

"this is not an autoflowering strain at all! it is otherwise a great plant to have around. outdoors it is an absolute monster if you do it right.

*top it early and often to make a 7 foot california styled bush*
1.57kilos"

It's hard to say how the plant will express itself, there are no guarantees in nature. Thanks for dropping by with the kind words buddy :high-five:

I think it's stacking like that cause of nutrient deficiency. I also see light green and purple leaves.
If you're referring to the stretching of the flowers, that is most likely caused by two factors, one of which is temps have been 80-90 degrees inside the tent lately which helped induce their stretching. Not to mention, these two plants have quite clearly had more of a sativa expression. So the hot environment is conducive towards being more photosensitive.. Hence, we see some of the re vegetating leaves and stretching for the sun. Sure we have purple and green leaves, but that does not necessarily mean there is a nutrient deficiency. Combined with an aerated phenotype, they are just some odd-ball flowers, the genetics are definitely finicky for the KC-45. Hopefully with this high P guano I can get her to tighten up.:Namaste:

I believe they are expressing more sativa traits through the protiens, so their literal plant tissues are actually much more sensitive to light than the traditionally advertised autoflower. She quite clearly is responding to the heat and light like a true sativa. I agree that these buds are certainly not up to par with the flower structure of modern day hybrids, however the medicine being produced is very very nice. Again, not super sold on autoflowers but will have to see how the next batch flowers in. Yeah, the first serving of that high P pterodactyl guano was used last week, going to be hitting them with another round today or tomorrow. I am super happy I found those worms, I really hate walking back into the house knowing there's a worm in there somewhere. Yeah I think it will be some interesting bud to try, so I am excited :)

That big one in full flower looks like it is finishing which is why I think the foliage is turning. I don't think the plants look like they need anything. Beautiful.

Good Mornings Herb to ya gardenfaerie, thanks! :)

Hi lester. Question for you since you are also growing outside. I have 1 of my plants that seems to be finishing early. Im around day 40 into flower and it has lots of cloudy trichomes and some amber ones. I also did pollinate this plant. It just seems kind odd to be at this stage so early into flower. My link is below but you have been there before:)

You too Brotha! Though, everyday is 420 in my world. So I am ready :)

Removing some far-gone leaves can help, depends on the situation of the canopy. This is something I posted in a different thread:

With that being said, when talking about the yellowing of the leaves, I check to see the resistive force of the petiole, if I am indeed considering plucking a leaf that has donated most of its energy, if it resists against a tug downward then I know its still sucking some energy out, and likely in the next few days would come off more naturally. Unless a yellowed leaf is directly covering a bud site, or blocking air flow, then I wouldn't forcibly remove it. A lot of people have their own different ways of growing plants, and maintenance techniques, it's all case by case..about the drying thing, I usually try to get all those fan leaves off before I start the real trim, just to make life easier for me during the trimming and processing, however I have dried and cured buds with leaving some leaf (so to speak) on and they cured really well, it just depends on what your mood is. :blunt:

Thanks relaxed I needed that, may I have another? Great post.

Some news, both current deep flowering KC-45s were transferred to the light-deprivation chamber as a result of being bad girls! Hopefully they will learn their lesson in there! Now we will let the babies take over. :tokin:

Revegging. That is a scary thought.

Forced flowering? So do you cover them for that?

Here is a post I made in the December 2013 Nug of the Month contest referring to my force flowered purple haze.
Howdy donpaul.p, a hot thing for greenhouse growers outdoors is to use what's called a "blackout tarp", in order to bump seasonal harvests up to 3 or potentially 4 times. It is a great technique because the angle of the sun during the vegetative cycle for our naturally flowering ladies is especially condusive towards trichome production. There is a high level of UV in the middle of the summer, it really helped me get nice and dense buds months and months before my naturally flowering ladies even started flowering. I personally did not use the blackout tarp, as that would be for entire crops/green houses. I just selectively force flowered the plant that I wanted by putting into a blackout chamber daily as to give it the schedule of light I needed.

Hope this helps and thank you for your consideration :Namaste:
