Recess Is Over - Now To Muck Up The Lesson

Sativa strains, the changing sex once r/h drops makes total sense to me.. They grown closer to the equator. During their grow and bloom cycle it's very humid and wet, monsoonal. Once the pants have around 6 weeks left, rain stops and the climate becomes dry. This would be telling the plant throughout time, if you aren't pregnant now, you better get soon cause it's drying out here..
Thoughts on indica would be that a temperature drop, below 8 could lead to it producing male flowers... Anybody know if this has been found?
 
Not sure about the temp drop, it could work but im unable to test, would be lucky to even get that cold where i am a couple of days a year and having the fire keeps things warm on them days :rofl:. Another thing i keep thinking to myself when i see fems with pollen sacs no matter if sativa or indica, is it because of a certain factor in my grow, is it genetics or is it due to the breeder and they way they stress the plant to produce the seeds in feminized cases.

Actually thinking about it, could possibly use a fridge to test, as long as there is no frost and doesnt get too cold should be perfectly fine :thumb:
 
you can't make fem pollen unless the female plant you use changes sex, one way or another.. They just less stable and chance of them turning from environmental factors is multiplied. Doesn't mean they will, some might have it surpressed better in the breeding.. Regs will turn but it's the only way of finding a plant that won't turn under stress...
 
I wouldn't have a clue about the temp drop. The 8 degree was just a number. Below 15 will change colour, is the next step to try and self? I was just thinking it on the fly..

yeah, i have no idea mate, with temps i also wonder if a major change would cause it, for example we grow inside in summer and we are hitting 30c, in winter we might be down around 15c, in both cases if we were to drop it down to 8c overnight (not that we do but as an example) there is only really a 7c drop in temp from 15 which i dont think would have any effect but in the other case there is a 22c difference. Sorry for babbling on, pretty stoned and i am insane :rofl:
 
In the membrane.... Well we got the 22 degree change feral, lol.. Gone from mid thirties to about 10 over night...
 
Just got sour out again and tried to get some more photos.. Man this girl is freaking awesome. The diesel is really coming through thick now. Touch her leaves and it smell like you've just checked the oil in the car. Flower everywhere and chunky hard.. Been a little concerned that all the care wasn't going to be worth it but this morning she has given me an early thank you, lol... Photos are shit, she's not into it, best I could do. she's awesome from here though..

Red, thanks bud... Always wanted a bigger girl indoors, not that she's a monster but I'm crossing it off the list and going back to smaller plants. Man the pain in the back pulling her out of the tent. Even checking her out, watering etc, so much easier dealing with girls you can pick up in one hand, lol.. I've had a lunar flipped for about 4 days, I'll get a pick up tonight.. Outdoor girls are just getting started. One Ill be topping to try and keep low and I've had one from seed straight into the ground, she's just straying to grow now.ill let her go wild and see what comes, might have to pull, depends on house next door...

At least she doesn't put on that stupid shit eating grin some youngsters get in photos.
 
Weird you say that.. Was looking at some photos the other day... It's different when it's your kid.. My daughter smiles hard, lips tight showing her teeth. I told her how she should smile, this was couple weeks ago. I feel shit now and hope she forgot what I said. The photos where she's doing her smile are the best and the ones where I told her how to have no life in them.. I'm still learning. Why do I try and change to fit and not enjoy the expression..
I know what you mean though..

As far as Im concerned, as long as they arent sticking out their tongue and/or making gang signs Im cool with whatver smile they can come up with :)
