I've read that peat moss is more acidic than regular potting soil so you may want to do a slurry test to see what the pH of your mix is:

Sounds good! The next question is whether to pH your nutes more like coco (around 6.0) or soil (around 6.5). I'd go 6.5 personally since it's peat and bark.
They should be fine, babies do weird stuff sometimes but grow out of it.
