I love seeds but I need to keep mothers of really good phenos I find.

Yeah once the thrips are gone I will keep the mothers. I honestly don’t know why I can’t win this battle. After I crop out I just have the 4 gorilla glue in hydro and I’m hoping they can’t complete their life cycle in hydro.
I’m going to put DE on the underside of the gorilla glue too. Been Spraying with alcohol every day too. Might keep that up for a bit. I’m getting desperate. Once I get rid of them I will be more careful. Carrying them though four grows is crazy. Can’t get any good products in this country. Such BS.

Have you tried shutting down and cleaning and sanitize everything?

No, I have never shut down. My need to grow is insane. But yes I should do that.
It's always an option.

Others may say it's no big deal, but I highly recommend taking the wrapping off peat pucks before planting as long as there are no roots already coming through it. I always tear open the bottom before I drop the seed in (to keep the tap root from going through) and then tear off the rest before I plant.

I saw you say you do that before. I wonder if that is why one of my GG girls looks strangled out. I will peal it off. I actually cut them in half and placed the seed in the middle and folded it back together so the wrapping is already just flapped around it. I will head your words.

I was able to open the bottom on the cpk but the Dr Seedsman has a 1cm tail out the bottom. Guess we won’t be disturbing that. It looks healthy so I’m going to get the hydroton ready.

The girls are looking great this morning. That purple is coming out all over now. Still no amber which I am happy about because they are bulking more each day.
And this is why we keep telling new growers to get a loupe and not harvest by pistil color!

Im not saying your wrong shed, but it’s really not necessary to cut the bag off. They grow right through. It’s a soft material where the roots penetrate through the bag, and easily rips as the roots grows and expands, and they just keep going like the energizer bunny!

Im thinking it will be fine. Taking it off to avoid a delema didn’t seem like a bad idea.
I've seen plants where there were some bigger roots caught inside the mesh, and it's not biodegradable, so why not take it off when you can?

Because I have not found a reason too do it. I grew two plants side by side. One I cut off, one I didn’t. The one I cut off grew slower and less attractive then the other.

I guess anything can get mouldy / white fuzzy with the right humidity/ conditions.
I’ve actually got a clone from my topped green crack in one. I had the puck sitting in a bit of water because she seemed to love it. I found a bit of mildew looking action on my puck. I’m just going to hydrate a new one, lift the clone out, and drop it in a new one. Normally the pucks are under the top layer of soil, so I never see it after it’s planted. Just like trace said though, I’m sure anything could turn moldy on a person with the right conditions (or would it be wrong conditions lol)
