A wise man once said it's not the caliber it's the round. Speed and weight play a gigantic factor in velocity and loss of velocity due to sheer weight of the projectile. Which is why smaller round bullets under less grain per cartridge will produce the same velocity has a higher caliber round with more grain per load.

Velocity equals energy. And that energy must carry through the animal and not lose its strength upon upon impact of the skin. All things considered the .243 not only penetrates the skin with its velocity that it carries so well. The bullet then tumbled upon impact and disenegrates into a million pieces in which I blow holes out the side of black bears the size of grapefruits. I almost always carry through the animal with the loads I use. I don't believe I would carry through a moose or a grizzly the way I do a 300 pound black bear or 220 pound white tail. But I do believe that velocity and ferocity will carry well into the flesh and release its most damaging impact right through the vitals where it counts. Almost like planting a little grenade in there to blow up right around the vitals.

Lucifer knows what my weapon is capable. He sees the animals I slay with it. He may not be a believer but he can certainly testify that I'm not bullshitting about what it will do.

I've never shot a 243. But clearly theres a reason for its popularity. There are 50 better rounds than a 308 for 50 different applications. I bought it because it's so damn popular. The last thing I wanted was to try and look for 6.5 Creedmore when the gun laws tighten on bullets. I like the 308. It's kind of the 45 of the high power rifles... watch out for the CHUDs man
 
Fuck the CHUDS. We'll line'm up 6 deep and smoke them with the .300 Win Mag. The fast ones we'll fold up with the 220 Swift and the slow fucks will eat the .308. We got'er covered.
 
Shots of my stalks. These plants aren't much older that 2 months old, maybe 70 days? I honestly don't remember. They are in 6 inch pots. Not too shabby

Wow, never even heard of that one. My brother has a Nagant, i think it's French. They don't have a very good record on guns. So many jokes about that. I'll keep quiet though, for fear of offending people from Quebec. Damn Canadians.

It's an amazing design. Most of it is a heat sink, so there are no fans. It's a bright light, but it's very *beamy* the footprint isnt very large, and quickly loses power as you move to the outside. I know this is common, but it really seems to be worse with this one. They are waterproof, and can be used outside. I bought it from a local hydro joint from their recommendation.

The deal with this fixture is the plants dont seem to love it. You know how you add a light and it shows in the plants the next day? That doesn't seem to happen here. When i bought my 2 Black Dogs the plants were completely different in the morning. Leaves were up and happy as fuck. The light I replaced was the Spectrum King. Granted the Black Dogs were twice as powerful, but I really think there's something to this. I believe the Spectrum isn't right. But I really don't know.

The plants im growing now under this fixture are doing well, not as well as my hydro stuff, but pretty good. To be fair, I've only grown in soil once before, so i understand it isn't going to be as good as hydro. These plants are thinner, and leggier not the dense foliar growth like DWC... I dont like it.

I can't recommend these lights. I really wish I could. It's a hell of a storm for a great light.

They have a larger 600 watt light which is crazy bright but I can only imagine it has the same issues as the 400+. There are also smaller "closet" lights, i dont know anything about them.

I have grown with Platinum P300s (2 of them) a Platinum P4 ( I actually really like this one. Grew a 9 oz plant with it once.) I've used G8 deep red lights for flower, but I didn't use them much. I started up
Some clones with CFLs this season, but I thonk you gave me some advice on that so you may remember. So that's my experience.

My plants started to flower today. So funny, none of this was going on yesterday.

Nutrients are at 1100. I will do a nute change the second my new pump shows. The first pump I ordered was on back order. So i bought the next one down its only marginally smaller than my bad one. My hydro place put a rush on the new one. It should be here tomorrow. I'm gonna flush then peroxide, then mix a new tank. I opened my res. and something winked at me... It's getting gamey in there. I won't add Silica this time. GH Flora series, with extra pink stuff. A little Calcium, a little Koolbloom liquid, boom done.

For the record the LEDs are a little behind the CMH in the amount of pistils. Now, it's only been a few hours, but it will be very interesting to see which one does better. What a great test. True head to head with the venerable BDs against the CMH. Same everything!!

The plant in the closet is kind of mopey. I took it out and flushed it. I'm using cloth pots and there was some wierd shit growing on the side of the pot. I hope it isn't a pathogen. Maybe flush with peroxide, scrub the outside, then Subculture B and M to help build back some bacteria, and carry on. We'll see.

The tent is doing fine. Plants are locked down and spread out. Looks ok. Not used to looking at a plant and seeing the grow media. In hydro, these fucking things would have to be heavily defoliate by now... then again next week. I dont think i like soil. So, 3 plants guess which one is Lemon Skunk.

Im stoked. Flowers! These plants (Lemon Skunk) finish quickly. Multiple sources actually say dont let it go over 59 days, so wierd to be so exact. I so hope this strain does what I want it to... fuck the yield I want a bud that I smoked in high school.

I used to race BMX and Mountain bikes while in school. I was on my big bike and racing a roommate to a park to get high, (surprised?) one night. I waded myself up in front of someone's house and wasted my collar bone. Long story not quite so long, i was out of school for more than 3 weeks.

At that time there was a lime green skunk bud around with a bitter citrus flavor, and it was cheap! Im sure this is psychosomatic, but sometimes I smoke something like that and my shoulder will ache.... I want my shoulder to hurt for old time sake. This bud is my "best bud story". It was absolutely the best I had ever had at the time. It would hold its own still.

I was asked on another site why I wanted to grow something as pedestrian as Lemon Skunk. I guess it's nostalgia

Beast of a stalk man. Beast. Can't wait to see this one. Your buddy with the light is still telling me that ppfd isn't as important. And still telling me the light will kill a 4x4 and a 600 will destroy a 5x5 but I see his pics. He's got 4 600s in a 10x10 and there's noticeable growth change in between the lights. Noticeable. So if a 600 kills a 5x5 then why do 4 600's not fill a 10x10 without lacking dead space in the centers? He's a liar and won't change his marketing. There's nothing wrong with the light but I know his footprint isn't what he claims and he won't admit it lol he won't do a ppfd chart either

It's funny to see two things... what people will defend to the death that's an obvious wad of crap, then how the story changes when they come around.

I got shelled by Teddy for talking about lights. It started with my gun pic. Then I guess I got audited. There's so much more to it. I'll spare you. It's not my house. I gotta behave. Haha
 
True that. I laughed about the bmx collar bone story lol I used to ride all the time too. Snowboarding skateboarding. You name it. I could backflip on everything at age 12 lol then I broke my hip. Then my collar bones and just about everything else. 24 and counting has stopped...Knock on wood lol the hip got me home schooled for 5 months haha

I actually thought about buying a cruiser class last month. Fuck all that! Im fragile.
 
New pics.

Things are moving along. The two in hydro are doing well. I replaced a water pump, the roots are pretty sick in tub number 2. After the pump replacement I changed the nutrients. I heavily peroxided the system. My res. Doesn't have air so it got a little funky. New pump be nutes an d nothing but smiles upstairs.

I added a SCRoG to the closet crop. This plant is doing ok. I trimmed off a few leaves as I spread it out. I set the timer for flower on this one this evening

The tent is going ok. The skunk plant is putting out leaves like dinner plates. I folded them all under to get them out of the, way. Really no idea when it will get the flip. It needs some quality time In the SCRoG.
