Radogast's Non-420 Garden Creation Thread

An example I ran across on my daily run...

HeronPoo.jpg

It's hard to tell from the photo... but there are many chunky bits present.
One nest.... one of many along Esplanade. You see it more across the river over in Algiers. It's in the inside of the river bend and tends to have more wetland area between the river and the flood protection.

That's disgusting like early morning on Bourbon St. before they clean up.

They cancelled my homeowners insurance and I had to be on the phone for awhile this morning.

Yesterday I had looked at this bird house, stuck my finger in it and found nesting material so my wife and I decided to watch it.

During the insurance phone call, we watched from inside the art room as a female wren pulled out nesting material, inspected it and droped most of it to the ground. A chipmunk would then run out and look to see what just fell.

The wren is just to the right of the bird house, brown with a white line on her throat.

I mowed the rock lined paths with a weed whacker yesterday. It looks like a more organized mess this way :)

Everything inside and outside looks so bare - The back yard is missing so many decorations and wind chimes.
The girl's boyfriend says the house almost looks like a Christian lives here now.

The two year old grape vine is slowly coming back.

The one year old raspberry vine is doing much better

The catnip grew about 8 inches in 2 days.

Such a beautiful place in nature! Is the bottom pic strawberries? :Namaste:

The bottom pic is catnip. For smoking in a kinikinik pipe mixture, for mosquito repellent, and to nip out the cat.. River searches out second hand marijuana smoke but he LOVES catnip.

The catnip cage is to keep a stray cat from rolling around and clawing apart the entire plant :)

In the past, I've stolen bits of garden from places I was moving away from.
Both my Aloe plants and Rosemary plants have made a couple of moves.
Taking any pieces with you?

Indoor plants, bird feeders, garden ornaments, bottled waters, graveyard dust and dirt, rocks. No outdoor plants are likely to be moved - maybe the Black Cohosh or the planter of Chocolate Mint. The Boston Ivy from the Boston University Art Building can stay.

I'd like to take one Red Squirrel and one Gray Squirrel that are so pleasant, Marmot the groundhog, and our murder of crows - but they will have to carry on here without us.

Here's a picture of River and Little Red this morning. Little Red came when my wife called "Little Red. Little Red!"

p.s. I replaced the broken sliding door handle and mortise latch on the back door after the photo this morning.

Those crows are going to miss your wife. I'm sure she'll charm another murder once you've relocated. :laughtwo:

He probably thinks of you as his favorite humans. :circle-of-love:

An example of the aforementioned tactical error....

Ooops.

Thanks for the photo.

I think it makes the Lexus look meaner and more Jeep like :)

Speaking of Jeep like, my wife traded in her Jeep Commander for a less of a monster (we rarely tow 3.5 tons these days.)
At the gas station Saturday (her last day with us,) I took a few bumper sticker photos.

Ooops.

How many times have you made this tactical error Tead? :laughtwo: Laughing with you, my friend. Laughing with you. :laughtwo:

Rad, I'm so pleased the land listened and now that part's behind you. Incidentally, the "looks like Christians live here" will have me chuckling on and off for years.

Rad..... The stickers are priceless. Reminded me of the Pinto we had for a year with Grateful Dead stickers on the windows. That car was an adventure. :laughtwo:

Thanks.

We once had a cop pull alongside, chirp his siren and motion for me to roll down a window - He was laughing his ass off about the "Sorry for driving so close in front of you." - as you might suspect, the bumper stickers are by the wife and kids.

The closest I have come to putting a bumper sticker on a car is having a bumper sticker on a magnetic sheet and slapping the magnet on the car. I don't have any tattoos either :)

You don't need tattoos. You have the rings. :battingeyelashes:
