Radogast 2 - Return of the Clones

Glad to hear about the warranty. Good luck with that.

Is everything ok Rad?

My wife broke 3 bones in her ankle and developped blood clots n the lungs.

My work says I can work from home - I did high quality work from home today. I earned my keep.

I'm fine, just grumpy today.

Go to website & usually can get a free pass. Easily hundreds of $$ worth of stuff.....if you can carry it all. I never miss out here but they skipped NorCal this yr. Most grab & dash, which mfrs. expect but dislike. If you talk w/ them, they often pull out more stuff to give you. Worth it whether you grow synthetic or organic. Best single event to not only get stuff but learn a lot.:Namaste:

You guys make it sound VERY attractive. Maybe I'll grab a fellow grower and call it a happy birthday trip.

I saw the free ticket -which is for Sunday only.

Would you suggest Saturday (the first day) or Sunday for a visit ?

Geez, tell her to stop that! Big hug for her, OK? :hugs:

I think you should go to the show in Boston. You'd have a blast and be really stoked to carry out your own stash of freebies. Those huge hands of yours can probably carry more. :laughtwo:

I here you on the grumpy thing! I keep telling myself "when life hands you lemons you paint that shit gold" but right now just seems like a low for most people, including me, that I know.

As far as the HY show Saturday is invite only, like industry cats. I got a comp ticket from my buddy at the hydro shop and he said he only got 10, I thought they were ten bucks a piece even online.

Sunday is a frickin blast though, last year I went by myself and was able to see everything. If you are there toward the end some of the vendors will get rid of there demos for next to nothing so they don't have to fly with it.

It's really nice to see what's out there in real life. buying shit on the internet, or going to the hydro shop where everything is in boxes works, but it's cool to try something and get the lodown from people that know there product

Hang in there Rado! Healing thoughts going to wifey tonight.

I bumped up the flower room temp frm 74-77 last night. The girls love it.

No resolution on the lights and ballast:
Everyone who is anyone in the hydro store was in court testifying against the former landlord today.

I have shut the basement window in the garden room to stay warm as the days grow colder.

With a space heater set to come on at 67-68F, last nights overnightlow was 69F

Humidity went way up to 79% RH, so I re-opened the basement window a half inch.

Overnight lows below freezing are affecting the outdoor plants. I brought in the wind chimes, harvested the catnip,
and brought my chocolate mint planter into the garden room for the winter. (I harvested Chocolate Mint in early September.)

Flowering at 540 days old. Seriously? The Methuselah of Cannabis? I hope the eventual harvest kicks a$$ as a reward for keeping her alive. You are nothing if not constant Rad. She's a very smart lucky woman, that wife of yours.

I'm stupid stubborn. You know. I just discovered / understood - - My HPS 600W bulbs are 18 months old and they are only supposed to be good quality for 4-6 months. They seemed to have worked well for over a year - but maybe that was just luck, or good vegging. I didn't really expect to be replacing $100 light bulbs every 6 months. But I didn't HAVE to replace that bulb for over a year. - - So I go back and forth. That $750 before 20% discount on a 600W HPS equivalent CREE COB LED that produce white light is looking very attractive - But that is 6 years of my HPS experience in bulb cost - - but its about $250/yr less expensive to USE the LED so there is about a 2 year ROI (Return On Investment.)

I guess I'm not so convinced by the claim "HPS lights only work 3-9 months." Mostly because my actual experience was different. I should buy the same brand bulbs again ... AFTER they fail.

I made my first ever Pot Brownies today.
At age 57 (last weekend)
after living across the San Francisco Bay from ' Brownie Mary ' who gave away pot brownies in hospital cancer wards - and I knew her name at 15,
that me
made ' Gluten Free ' Marijuana Brownies as his first brownie mix.

I'm an embarassment to my generation in my home town :)

I made a 7:30pm grocery store run to buy eggs
after I melted the butter and warmed the oven,
because thefirst of the last two eggs in the house went bad at spot with a dented shell,
so I bought 1/2 dozen eggs
and continued making brownies,
while being a good little grow hubby
and making 'medical edibles.'

What is 'medical' when you buy it on the street? Its ALL 'medical' ! -
(heard yesterday at the Maximum Yield Indoor Growers Conventon.)

I'm a happy person in my home mind :)

P.S. I didn't eat those 2 brownies (leaving 14 of 16 for the photo above.)
I just licked the bowl made with a film cannister of activated THC from 'Bowie.'
I am high as f*
:lot-o-toke::yahoo:

I love licking the bowl. :laughtwo: I mix mine up in a saucepan and there's almost nothing left in that pot when it hits the sink! LOL!

Well done Rad. They're easy to get hooked on.

Theorem of the Day: Use home made neem spray within 4-6 hours

This translates into make a single batch and use it right away.

My observations (twice - before and after my vacation):
First spraying after the spider mites were bad was very effective,
Second and third spraying I felt good,
By Fourth through sixth spraying I was having major doubts,
yet hope lingered because it had really worked for a bit.

So I decided to take a chance.

Setting: One half hour before lights off outside the basement cannabis grow rooms
Enter gardener with a freshly brewed bottle of Neem Foliar Spray

(The Gardener knows the 1/2 liter foliar spray made up two weeks ago has gone bad.
It is, at most, a week soil drench.)

The Gardener drenches the soil below the second worst affected plant.
Spraying about 1/4 liter foliar in a drench with a punp style sprayer purchase for $14 at the Hardware Store on their way home from Anticoagulant Clinic.
All plants in the Garden Room and the 4 plants in the Flower Room are moist.

The Gardener drenches the soil below the worst affected plant in the flower room.

According to today's theory (gleaned from 3 internet entries,) it can't make it worse.

The Gardener's Neem Oil Foliar Spray Recipe
- Glass (Pyrex) liquid measuring pitcher,
- 1/2 liter warm water,
- 5 ml(1%) Neem Oil,
- enough soap to make bubbles when whipped with a whisk.
- 1/2 liter warm water (yes, a second 1/2 liter of warm water.)

Combine in the order listed,
Whisk ingedients in glass measuring pitcher, adding just enough soap to make bubbles

When mixture is well mixed, combine with the second 1/2 liter of warm water in the sprayer bottle.
Shake well.

Use mix in less than 6 hours (basically right away - use it all for something.)

This has the potential to be an effective new method :)

Yes, brownies are a most effective method of medicating. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one benefitting from highs that last longer than 8 hours. I'm working on almost a triple dose tonight and aspirin has been th only pain meds I've had to supplement with to counter the discomfort of having five teeth extracted at once. I went so far as to dissolve one in milk to get that gram into me today when I can't chew.

Nice recipe and you're correct, it certainly can't hurt. I know it works for gnats, but have you tried a topdressing of neem cake? I realize the mites are up in the plant, hence the foliar, but it occurs to me that a topdress may help the cause. It certainly couldn't hurt to try.

My body's giving out as I type. I need to let myself sleep. Goodnight Rad. Conquer the bloody beasts! :hugs:

50 hours in, day 3 of the new spraying routine, I am optimistic, as I have been optimistic every day 3 of everything new I have tried.

1 Liter neem water made fresh in a pump type sprayer: 1/3 liter as foliar, 2/3 liter as drench for a single 7-10 gallon pot in flower.

Mites are disappearing and growth feels faster in late veg and flower.

Hey Rad - try to figure a way to dunk the plants completely in your mix. That will work better than spraying. If you mess up you can always transplant into new pots. Find a way to lay plants down on side and have a deepish tray with mix in it and lay the plant in the mix an submerge. Add some kelp in your mix the ladies love that shit.

hows my favorite bong collector doing

i hope all is good in your world brother, looking forward to some more of that ol' good journal hangouts.

ladies are lookin real fresh
