I do believe I'll be using the SSU again, as long as I cant taste it in the final product, or feel it in my lungs.

OMM, I am posting this from somewhere over the Pacific. Once you said that I just couldn't take another day of this cold. I'll need you to pick me up at your local airport in about.....27 minutes.
Thanks-Q

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
I wish, but thanks for the invite! I really hope someday I'm able to make the trip. I have a feeling the stories would be life changing!
I really hope you and Jo are doing well, my friend, and that you have a great Christmas and new year...Tell those volcanos to settle down!:Namaste:

looks like where i live,,i dont mind the cold and i love riding my dirtbikes and quads in the white shit,,but its expensive to deal with and being a gardener of many things besides our favorite crop, i get cabin fever and "garden sick" really bad about 1/2way thru winter, i am contemplating moving,,,,but where o where:peace:

You should change your name to Big Eskimo Dood, lol, Sorry bro, only those who HATE the cold can participate in this journal:rofl::rofl:

Sorry, thats just how much I hate it! It's so infringing, burdoning, almost malicious! It makes production slower, traps us in our houses(Those of us who cant afford and don't have the time to go skiing and snowboarding), makes people drive like complete dumb-asses, and just all around pisses me off!----

----OK, I'm better now....back to the grow....

Day 45 defoiation
Also had to start tying the buds up. Its not so much that they're all that big, just that the plant has been weak from the start, and doesn't quite have the strength to hold them up anymore....

wow thats AMAZING !! :circle-of-love:
Hi there Kamy:welcome:
Lol, its too bad she didn't make it. I know now that this was not the best way to attempt a re-veg. Wasted a lot of time trying, too. Oh well, live n learn.

awww too bad , well at least now i can learn a little more from you , and i am realy intrested about the re-veg thing ^^ i will take some time to read your topic from head to bottom tomorow ;) thank you for sharing your experiences with us :circle-of-love:
Well thank you for the kind words, I'm flattered. I could have done a better job journalling this grow. I think next grow I'll update with all my feeding info, the whens and whats n so on....Hope you find something useful in the pages of this journal, but it was kind of a "by the seat of my pants grow" and may not hold much in the way of actual information useful to people, but stay tuned for the end of this one and the beginning of 2012!
Thanks again for stopping in!:high-five:

Awww I perked up when I saw you mention the re-veg, don't know where I was or how I missed it. I want to reveg plant 1 she is doing so good. Do you have to cut it that low to reveg? Can you just cut the bud off and leave the branches? And are you feeding it grow or bloom or both?

Hi Queen:welcome:
Well, you'd have to go back to the beginning to really understand what happened, but long story short, she dind't make it.

You most definitely could NOT just cut the buds off and leave branches.
Leaves are the "Solar Panels" that allow the plant's biological processes to occur.

To re-veg, it would be better to leave a nice whole branch, with plenty of leaves left on it....Thanks for stopping in:Namaste:

The reason I asked is because I thought I saw somewhere where someone had cut off everything but the branches. So it has to be that low and as long as there is some type of leaf on it?

Well, I cant say yes or no to that, as I never actually succeeded in re-vegging...She was my first and only attempt. But really, I don't think it HAS to be that low...I suppose you could use virtually any part of the plant, as long as there are leaves on the branch. Its a bit of a specialty technique, in that, there probably IOS a preferred method to doing this, but I've forgotten more than I'll ever know abot this art. I haven't really even given it a second thought since my first try n fail.
I think if you have seeds, you should stick to growing those out for a while before you try something like a re-veg....I know I wont be doing it again anytime soon...
You may actually bake better use of your plant by cloning her before going into flower with her....

You may be right. I did make the attempt once to clone a plant from my first grow which was bagseed. But I had done some things wrong like didn't cut the leaves and peel the skin off the stem...Once I get the good stuff growing I will make an attempt again. Or maybe I will play with the idea of cloning plant 1. I like her and she's doing so well.

Dang ! I was ready to hit the road!:high-five:

Sure sounded good Quix. Someday! Yep, we could talk story for a while. Jo finally finish her Christmas mailing frenzy yesterday.....she's turning human again.:clap:

Hey, I am curious about your lighting set up..I like how you have the lights in front of the plants...How did you do that? Try to have the light come at two different angles and may be doable with my closet.

QT, the idea on re-vegging is to be sure leave some live growth on the plant. You can cut as low as you want, but it's not the size that counts (in this case! :)) it's making sure there's "green" left all the way up the plant.

The leaves aren't just solar panels, but they will draw nutrients up from the roots. Regardless of the height of the plant, if there's no green more than halfway up the plant, the plant will die back to the point of live growth (and possibly further!), so leave live growth at the top to draw the nutes all the way up the plant.
