Quad12 JustMeds RDWC Build

I was looking at your lids with all the room and thought of having a small hinged door cut in to access the roots or water level for a peek without having to lift the whole net pot.

That could be done for sure. For the first run I see the K.I.S.S. principle.

Ewww, you gettin all the toys. I'm liking that speed controller, wished I had one.

This is what I like the best, it finds the best speed of your fan automatically keeping the temp dead on. You can also program it to hard start for controlling an air conditioner/heat.

How many inches from the bottom of the tubs to the bottom of the net pots?

Tub is 12-1/2" deep. I can set depth of pot down into tub to control amount of liquid in tub during run. I can't get the full 11" back but I can get most of it along with a complete drain. I think I will have a 7 gallons in tub with 2" of clearance from bottom of pot with it flush and not sunk down into tub. I have to sink it into tub to gain them inches back and to cut down on amount of fluid in system. It was a step in the right direction I feel. Nothing is glued or anchored yet.

Got the drain all glued up with the exception of the standoff.

Here is the clips I made to hold the tubs together at the top.

Here is a view from the top all bolted together.

I used these 1/2" pipe hangers for tub supports.

Here they are in the tub. You can place pins in different holes to adjust height of lid. This will allow adjusting amount of liquid in tub and maintain any distance desired from bottom of net pot. Adjusting amount of water in each tub will be shown soon. :thumb:

In this picture you can see the notches cut in the lids for the hangers.

Here is a pic of a 5 gallon bucket on the tub for size reference, lots of extra root room for sure.

Here is a pic of the coupler I used on the drain standoff.

Here is the standoff. I think there is about 2" of adjustment for water height in tubs with the coupler.

Got tired of bending over while working on it. Added legs temporarily.

Please invite others to view this they may have an idea I could use...LOL

What you guys think about it so far? I am really starting to like it.

Well got it leak tested, it passed. :thumb:

Measured the output through the system. It is putting out 1/2 gallon a minute. So do you think 30 gallons an hour across the roots is good?

It sure seemed to get real quite on this site the last few days.

I got a 27 gallon tote to use as a reservoir. It will hold about 14 gallons when flush to bottom of 1-1/2" drain pipe.
