I was looking at that pic hard trying to figure out which of my plants looked like that until I noticed you said it was your plant. Idk, I gave all 3 plants equal shares of nutes but only that one is showing the brown spots on 3 leaves. I have nute burned my first grow before and never saw anything that looked like that. I don't want to pull the whole leaf because its only a spot, ya know. Also, I am not giving them full strength of the nutes on half so thats why I kinda think it may be something else.

ok first thing i would do is flush some ro or distilled water thru that plant, it wont hurt and you can always give it more food if it starts looking hungry, not all strains require the same levels of nutes some burn or develop deficiencies easier than others, just because the others are fine really dosnt matter you can have identical strains in the same soil, pots, water etc, and one can develop a ph problem or nute issue, get a magnifier and inspect for pests top to bottom back to front, if you can test ph ,test the run off when you flush not the first oz or 2, let that go, then collect a cup or so and test, its a process of elimination, bugs, flush,ph,deficiencies
also is the soil real wet/dry? if you cant find anything wrong it may be that it needs something like cal/mag or ironite, start simple and work your way up:thumb:

I checked for bugs when I transplanted, no bugs at all. I also tested the ph which was at 6.5-7 which according to my chart is neutral. The soil was dry, not thinking nute burn at all since I am using BPN. Next time I am out shopping I will try some distilled water, have been using tap.

Oh, and Kamy, the Blue Mystic didn't make it, she died. So I am germinating Big Bang. Miss Lemon Skunk has finally shed her shell.

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

ohh she died ? :'( died how ? do you have any pics ? :(

Nah, no pics. Looks like she shriveled up and just died. Not sure sure how or why. She had enough light and water. I just chalk it up to being a bad seed.

Hey QTL, just dropping in to see if I could give some advice....From the looks of those pics a page back, I could swear it looks like cal/mag deficiency to me....It MAY be caused by PH being out of whack, which will cause a lockout of certain nutes...But really I think you may just try a good flush (2 gallons of water for every gallon of soil) then try supplimenting with a cal/mag product...

What makes you say that? Is that what is causing the brown spots? I checked my ph earlier tonight. It was between 6.5 and 7. According to the chart that is in normal range. So, I am a bit confused. So since I am using 3 gallon pots each plant has to get 6 gallons of water? I never understood how much to flush. Thats a lot of water going through, wouldn't that kill them? And should I flush since I just transplanted them?

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

Hey Queen, I'm just thinking that the spots I see resemble a common Cal/Mag deficiency. A cal/mag def. can often be caused by pa PH imballance, but that doesn't mean that yours is for that reason.
Since you say that you just transplanted, maybe you'll see an improvement if you wait. The flush, if at some point you decide one is needed, should be done in a sink (like the kitchen) or bath tub. The amount of water will not kill your plants. The only time water becomes too much for your plants is when you water, and then the very next day or two, you water again, and before the soil has a chance to dry you do it again and again. OR, if you dont have signifigant drainage in your pots and you add too much water repetedly. The water CAN drown your plants if you dont let it drain and give it enough time to dry out.

Anyway, if you just transplanted, give them a week to see if the spots continue to work their way to the other, currently unaffected leaves.
If you start to see new, HEALTHY growth, then the problem may have resolved itself.

One thing to remember....Don't OVERLOVE your plants. I know its hard not to worry, but the more you stress over them, the more they will stress...I also know that sounds crazy, but trust me on this. Don't feel like you HAVE to be concerned with every little thing, its just a weed:cheesygrinsmiley: It will survive, if you let it. Plants usually die from people "trying too hard". If it looks thirsty, give it some water. If it looks hungry, feed it A LITTLE till you know its needs, at which point you can bump the nutes up. (if you are unfamiliar with the plants growth habbits and needs, there is a wealth of information here, and elsewhere on the net about what they need...Here would be a good place to start How to Grow Marijuana Everything You Need to Know)

Sorry if you're already familiar with this information, just hoping maybe I've covered something that helps you out!:Namaste:

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

Thanks Quix, I have read that link a few times. I am hoping that they will get themselves together. I was thinking of lowering the ph a lil which is what I did. I will wait and see what happens. The bottom leaves of plant one have turned yellow but I think that may be because they're at the very bottom and just not getting light. From what I could tell from the roots, its a good thing that I did transplant them, they were getting a little bit cramped. The roots looked nice and white but were starting grow up.

I know what you mean about overloving them. I am just trying to do things better than I did with my first grow. I overlooked a lot of things the first time around. I guess I just don't want to leave anything out.
