Revised propagating preparations

Clones taken :

15 Fast Chilly
15 White widow x fast

Since I stopped doing the underwater cut technique a few months back, I've begun making even more preparations in the days preceding clone day to hasten the entire process to under 10 minutes plus 10 minutes soaking time of the stems in hormone gel. I've found that I get a more even spread of success if all the clones are cut from the mother at roughly the same time and within the fastest time frame possible.

Like before I removed the leaves and trim 24-48 hours before clone day.

This time I also marked the stems with a texter for length uniformity which intern really hasted the overall process.

Ive sticky taped an extra cup down this time so i can take all 15 clones at once from each mother with 30 in total from two strains.

Added an extra heat mat behind the cloner with a cooling tray used to keep it upright.

Plus some safer and easier to acces wiring and enviromental monitoring equipment

Other than that, nothing else has changed with my cloning method, so please refer to that earlier in the journal.
I'll do a post once they have all rooted in a week or two.

I have ran green crack twice now, all though I never benefited properly due to harvest times I still got better than average yield as well, great strain of trained properly, would make a great SOG plant :).
yeah awsome. Its history is funny. Been around for years but it wasnt until snoop dog said its like smoking green crack did it then take on the current rebranding. The wife loves snoop and is looking forward to it
:thanks::ciao:

Hey MH, just popping past.
Nice journal and sog looks tits..sweeeet.
Going well. Love the cmh...Im not bias....cough... Lol

Nice set of new beans bro! I hear that Ripper Badazz is a winner! Same breeder as my Double Glock :passitleft:
I know you like your OG! ;)

I liked it but it could do with a good 9-10 weeks strain depending on your phenomenon you end up with, stretch can be at least double if not 3x :).
Yeah, I hear that. Its the only one the missus really wants. Im ok with a 9-10 week strain since it helps to bring about a perpetual grow with 7-8 week strains in the same space. The stretch could be an issue though. Thanks for the info, definitely something to ponder over when they arrive
:hmmmm::nomo::thanks:

haha. I just bought another 315 hi-par control and a full spectrum sunmaster globe from my local. Pick it up today.
Also about another $700 worth of gear online including a HLG 120w QB, GTmax CMH veg bulb, Mojo cow 8.5k lighting kit for cloning, new clone tent, another flexi tank, a top up of ozi magic nutes and a raft of all sorts of odds and ends.
Hows harvest?

The future is here

And its so fucking expensive!!!
Im balls deep into the CMH control setup and there's no turning back now. Have a look at this tech

Each full setup sits at a hefty $600 for SE and $800 for DE.
I've already bought two 315w sunstorm setups, Next month, I'll get the last 630w DE CMH kit for my bloom tent and the controller which will set me back a further $1.5k.

The most highly acclaimed ballasts on the market atm. Complete beasts that simulate the suns natural rise and set whil increasing/decreasing power depending on heat, humidity and a whole other raft of options.

I'll be using these in conjunction with my QBs and once the setups complete I'll wrap this journal up and start a fresh one with just CMH, QBs and the new strains

Investing back into the grow.

As stated in the previous post, I've heavily invested back into the grow again as I move further away from CFLs, HiDs, Blurple LEDs, T5s and with it many fans, ducts and a raft of other things.

New toys purchased :
1x Hi-par 315w CMH controllable ballast (as noted in the previous post)
1x Sunstorm 3.5k 315w CMH bulb
1x GT Max 4.2k 315w CMH bulb
1x 135w HLG 3k Quantum board
1x Mojo Cow 8.5k 50w propagation lighting kit
1x Cloning tent (smaller than my current for more warmth with fewer watts)
1x 100-litre Flexi tub rez
5 x new strains (noted in the previous post)
4 x 6x1.5 drip trays
5 litres Sweet Az
1 Litre Monsta grow ( just so i can pour from it, instead of using a random bottle, filled from my larger one)
1 x 10-litre sprayer (for hand feeding seedling)
10 x Silver Sheen hedges for front and back yard (for privacy and obvious reasons)
1 x Hi- par DE CMH reflector (second hand & half price)
4 litres Floranova Grow ( stocktake sale, half price, will replace Maxigrow for now)
1x Large white reflector

Plus a whole bunch of other crap not worth mentioning. I won't bore you with mentioning how much this all cost me but suffice to say if the missus finds out I'm royally fucked. Thank you very much click and collect.

I have only ever used CFL, T5 MH & HPS, I don't think I will ever move away from HPS fully but I would like a better veg light, I may try LED or some different tunes in my T5 .

I may eventually but one of those cmh lights though and out it on a light mover, £180 to move your light backwards and forwards may just help with a more dense canopy.

Yeah that was me until 6 months ago. A lots changed recently though and i highly highly recommend HLG QBs. They are so efficient they make all other lighting seem inferior. I mean seriously powerful. My 266w QB outperforms my old 600w MH by a mile especially after 1 grow and the bulb starts to die. Competes directly with my HPS with a new globe and becomes far far superior after the bulbs have done 2 grows. Can interchange and switch any part, so if the diodes go then grab a new board. They have allowed me to maintain that HPS yield and quality with %70 reduction to power once you start dropping T5s aswell. My 135w QB outperforms my old shitty 2x 4ft T5s at 400w. No use replacing the bulbs, i think im gonna sell them along with everything else

It's the end of an era

My first time without any HIDs at all running.
Its a great feeling knowing that all up including lights and fans that the Sky-Maker bloom tent is now running at approximately 1000 watts.
That's an insane number considering this time last year it was double that.

1 x Mars TS1000
1 x HLG QB 135w V2
1x 315w CMH sunstorm kit
1 x HLG QB 266w V2

I'll be replacing the 315w with a 630w ASAP and the Mars TS with another QB once it arrives and putting them both in the veg tent
