PW's Perpetual Playhouse

The voltage is determined by the number of diode in a single row.
Different color temp can have a slight voltage requirement.

That's where my confusion started. The 288's are not only the name of the board but the number of diodes on the board. Both the hlg300/260 use the same boards(288 x2) and the same driver to power said boards.

Maybe one is running parallel and the other in series? And if that's the case which do you think pushes them to 300w, series or parallel?

The reason I ask is because I have the boards and drivers just trying to figure out how to run them to get to 300w

PW, let me know if this is too much off subject talk and I'll happily ask in the appropriate sub forum topic.

Btw how is the heat from your 260?

Ask any questions you have Komplex, that's why we're all here in the first place is to learn. Virtually no heat below the boards and minimal heat above. I've wired all my boards in series which is what HLG and Ledgardner recommend.

Nice! Now I can grow in the summer too! Im not willing to put an Air conditioner in the tent.

It doesnt ma me much difference how there wired.
Volts x Amps = WATTS
The 288 boards are a 54-57volt board.
Max amps are 3. Anything over 60 watts requires a heatsink.
This guy on this site has done a lot of testing of those boards.

Yeh this guy is insane. He's run the boards up 5x over there rating trying to blow them up but couldn't. Fried his transformer before the board failed. He said the heat got intense at overpowering it like that but the board wouldn't blow.

Yea heat was my main issue why I stoped using hps and went to led and got dual dwarf stars. I figured having two separate lights i could spread out the light alil better. Versus just one of there bigger lights i believe its called there Goliath. But yea i love those lights. I hope to be gettn sum of those quantum boards tho with one of my next checks lol. Gotta save up some cash again since I blew my whole wad getting a hydro setup and dam Christmas presents lol. But yea those qb boards sound amazing.

I'm sold on the QB's and Furcifer and KingJoe are using Fusion boards from Photon Phantom and getting the same killer results.
R the fusion boards already put 2gether or do u need to assemble urself? Also are they cheaper then the qb's?

Fusion boards will need to be assembled and you'll have to buy a driver separately. Along with a power cord and wire for the dc side. Could be a little cheaper if you source from the right places.

Well, I feel dumb. I looked everywhere for my answer except for the most obvious place. HLG's website!

The 260 and 300 have the same max power wattage and output. The change in name was due to frame design and appropriate application for space.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

calendars are good, in the grand space/time continuum scheme of things!??...:hmmmm: ...don't mind me...tequila meds for post root canal symptoms...go to Mexico they said...break a tooth second day they said...it'll be fun they said...not so much......cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:
