I have noticed that seeds from hermied plants are maybe 90% or more pure females and the rest hermy prone. I grew out a set of 20 once and I only saw a stray flower on one girl . No full blown hermie.

If you keep stress to a minimum they may be fine.

Can always grow ten 12 12 from seed and stress them with light a little during flower and look for hermies

I haven't seen any males so far... but ratio so far for hermies is 5 to one. If you take the time to pick them off you'll avoid getting an amount of beans. Had one hermie a lot last time and I've found 8 or 9 beans

Yea not bad at all.. my first grow one of my plants hermied and impregnated the other two. Got about 100 seeds lol. Wish they werent bag seeds so i knew what strains they were. Been thinkin about growing one out soon and see what happens.

I've learned so say one breeder had pest issues bad environment it is more likely to get inherited?

I can remember back in the day some of the Colombian sativas couldn't mature where I'm at. Frost would kill them before they were finished, Skunk came along and changed everything.

Yeah for years there was only a few fluffy airy genetics that wouldn't mold where I live. The new hybrids are all contenders if you know what crosses to seek. Skunk and blueberry tend to be the top contenders. And anything with early pearl

You can watch the males and time it so you can remove the male from the tent then I run the male tops across a screen to collect pollen. I mix pollen with a small amount of flour to make it go farther and store with a little raw rice to absorb moisture. H2O will kill pollen so you have to keep it as dry as possible.

Wicked info penny. Lessons from a pro. Here I was just throwing male tops in a Ziplock and hitting them with a paint brush

If you like the strain then it means free seeds and standard seeds seem to produce stronger plants but that's an argument for another day. .

Amen!!!!! I am a firm believer colloidal silver methods and such make weaker genetics. However when I order seeds in bulk I never risk it. But you risk getting hermie genetics that way too. So I guess you risk a male no matter what. I just taught myself something from your words. Reg seeds from now on.

I would believe this king. Either that or my gorilla is sweet and mites prefer the sweetness but that one plant is so out of control with pear issues compared to everrrrrrything else
