PW's First Attempt At Aeroponics & PS1000 LED

Finally decided on a seedsman order. Got the dr greenthumb em-dog (chem#4 x original og kush) supposed to potentially have 27% max thc. Should do the trick lol
Dam, sounds potent AF! Me want! .

Hiya PW
Question; I'm starting indoor grow number 2 with 4 x 47xtrm and 11 BigBud xxl feminized seeds as soon as I flip grow number 1 to flower.
With your vast growing experience and using different methods, which would you suggest as the easiest for a beginner in a 1.2 x 1.2m veg tent? Stick with run to waste in Coco fabric pots or something else? I guess my confidence with my coco growing capabilities has been a bit shot over the last week and I'm wondering if there is something easier for an indoor 'grower' with limited skills? My LED's are definitely not as flash as your PS 1000, but they do the job for veg.
And btw; your girls look SO amazing!! You know when you see really perfect looking indoor plants (like orchids or Peace Lilies etc) that you think they might be artificial? So you have to feel the leaves? That is how perfect your plants look!! Grow Goals....

Coco is probably the easiest for me, your lights should be fine. Big bud is very user friendly so you should do well. What problems are you having with coco?

Well, when I had to hurriedly move the plants that weren't ripped out (during the break-in last week) to my flower tent, something made some of them look sad, spindly leaved and stunted growth. I couldn't pinpoint what the problem was because multiple things had changed:
A. Put under a 600W HPS (which is new to me AND the plants!)
B. Changed nutes to AN 3 part pH Perfect.
C. pH digital pen died & a new one still not delivered. So I got some of the drops test - which is not as accurate obviously.
D. Added Sensizyme to nutes, as I transplanted some out of smaller pots into the 21litre grow bags the thieved plants had been ripped out of.
E. I transplanted many of them - some without flushing the Coco properly first. And added a scoop of Great White to each root zone.
So I was advised to flush, which I did last night and they did look much better this morning however the same few were drooping again as soon as I fed them a little.
I'm desperate to flip them, as some are going on 6 weeks veg! But it seems wrong to flip whilst they've had stunted growth for over a week.

Sorry to bore you with my miserable plants! But essentially, that's why my Coco confidence has been shot a bit. Not in the medium itself...but my treatment of it.
However, if you reckon Coco is the best for beginners? Then I'll likely give it another go. God loves a trier and I'll hope I've learnt enough to not screw it up...again!
I love looking at your girls. It's a MUCH happier tent than mine!! Plus the naming them idea - is pure genius.:bravo:

Thanks Anna, if you went with a more powerful light give them some space. Leaves will droop down away from a light if its too intense. Also with AN nutrients start off with a lower than recommended amount. I start plants on AN at 1/4 strength and increase a little each week. As long as you're between say 5.0 and 7.0 ph with AN then dont try to adjust your ph. Make sure you're watering/feeding to run off until you're sure the coco is flushed out well. Again go over the coco videos by LEDRF at growpotcheaply.com they are awesome tutorials on coco. Keep us posted on their progress.

Here is an email from AN about ph and their products:

The pH Perfect base nutrient has some specific ingredients( chelates, surfactants, amino acids as well as buffers) that increase the pH spectrum to continue the plants ability to absorb nutrients between 4.0 and 8.0 pH without the concern of having to re-adjust the pH so many times, like you would have to with a simple salt formula. You should use a water supply Tap water )providing the ppm value is no more than 150 ppm otherwise you may want to consider using RO water ( which normally has a 0 ppm level.) As far as adjusting pH it is not necessary, the additives will do the work for you.
