Hey it may work, but ive read once the stem starts turning woody it gets harder to root.

It will still clone. Might have to re-cut stem if it doesn't take on the first try.

Quick question for the cloning pros in here, y'all think this bottom branch is too big to throw in the Dewey cloner? I put a pen there for size reference.

If the stem is hard, make your diagonal cut as long as possible. Scrape the other side.
Use a good rooting hormone gel.
Give it a try....
