Apple, pumpkin, and cherry crumb pies fresh from the oven this morning! Turkey is turning all golden...stuffing ready to go in when the turkey comes out. I make it with fresh herbs. Soooo good! Some great foods today to add a dose of oil to for sure! Gravy, stuffing, whipped spiced winter squash...Mmmmm...that cherry crumb topped pie would be good as well. Just remember to lick the plate!:drool: Guests are encouraged to lick their plates at my place!:rofl:
 
Hey Lady! Pie question. The boss does all the cooking except for pies which I started doing a couple years ago, blackberry being my favorite since I pick all the berries right from my property, use a little shredded Apple dried with paper towel for the pectin so it's not all runny. Anyhoo, I did not make the crust last night, just did and the 2 balls are I the fridge now. Will it be ok to let them sit for 2-3 hours or should I stick to 24 hours? We have plenty of sweets for today, store bought pumpkin pie, meh, but the bosses mom makes delishous snicker doodle bread. Pie I'm making is Pearpple. Yum!

Your good. You can use the dough before 24 hours. Try 1 to 1- 1/2 tablespoon of minute tapioca in your pie. It's a great thickener for berries and cherry pie. ;)

Great, thanks! I like the Apple in the BlackBerry but will keep the tapioca in mind.

* You have the same one? Oh good then I'm now far off. It's my first time using it so I hope I don't F up my beans. It's hard to go off routine when trying something new but it was time, lesson learned. :)
