I have a question for you Bill, when I moistened my layers do I use water or nutes? Also was wondering do I need to use my new FFHF or can you use last grows? CL

Moisten the layers.
Do you mean misting to activate.
I use b1, Roots excelurator gold & superthrive in a spray bottle.
But just plain water works.
I re use my coco.
I let it dry for a couple months then pull out the roots.
Put in bokashi & frass activate & let sit a few days.
Then I mix it 50/ 50 with fresh coco perlite and start again.
Coco breaks down.
Soil not so much.
If it's clean it's just to hold the roots it place so you should be fine. No Bugs Right?
Your feeding anyway so it doesn't matter.
Bit I'd get a bag of coco and try 1 girl in coco.
You won't look back.

I'm not 100 % sure yet but I think the life I give the root zone reduces the need to ph the water.
I ran the greenhouse coco girls all summer without even buying a oh meter.
They were absolutely perfect.
Seedlings to harvest, no issues.
But I have yet to prove my theory so I can't guarantee it'll work for you.
It's worth the extra effort to set ph and run coco for me.
I can run soil with fantastic results too so if that's what your comfortable with then great.

I did that because I had time and prepped a 100 litres of coco every month.
They come to life in 24 hrs so you can use it sooner if you need.

I'm pretty excited.
Had the greenhouse and that was really amazing but.
I need a grow facility year round.
Just didn't expect it to cost 8 grand. Without the 3 g's in @VIVOSUN equipment I have going in.
I better feken hurry and turn on the lights, hehe!

Didn't think it was going to be cheap in this day and age but for the love of green if I had that ide do the same lol the mrs wouldn't agree but happiness comes at a cost . Was all good ye thanks how was yours buddy.

Had a lovely time with my sweetheart.
We were supposed to go bowling Sunday but her girlfriend slipped on ice Saturday night.
She can't walk too well but she is ok, but couldn't bowl.
So 20 years and one more week won't kill me.
We just relaxed and talked instead.
Might have been a nap in there somewhere too.

I just put a switch on the light receptacle for now.
I’ll probably have some sort of timer / Wi-Fi control on it.
Just need to get a plug for the VS 1000.

Plug’s for fans and a heat mat just in case are on a separate circuit from the lights.
Adjustable bar to hang the VS 1000 on tomorrow.
Seeds in paper towel tonight.
