Purple Pics

My chocolate coloured Lab licked my SIP Girl Scout Cookie to death last month. Never touched a plant before but yeah. She is 40kg and guess just liked that style of growing, she sat next to it for 2 hours. Left and when I left she circled back around and licked all 4” of it to death. She is clever when it comes to (potential) food 😂

This is an average lower branch on my girls. Its 9 weeks today for my banners which is recommended. They’ve had loads of Co2, massive light and still taking 3+ litres a day each. I have one trusted opinion - what do you all think. Its my first harvest 😅 I got one purple pic!
That would have been hilarious to see.
I never raise my voice to my little buddy.
He never misbehaves.
Everything he does is adorable.
Once I did yell when he ran down the drive way.
Spooked him so much he ran around the house and wouldn’t come in.
My fault totally.
He is so sweet just makes my heart swell. :green_heart:
Couldn’t imagine not having him by my side.
Ok back to gardening.
Any one else have an opinion on harvest time for Nick’s beautiful Bruce Banner?
I’m with @Melville Hobbes on this one. :thumb:
What ppm are you feeding them.
Do you know the NPK?
What nutrient line again?
Sorry my memory is going fast.
Talk when you wake up I imagine it’s the middle of the night there.
Take care.

It sounds like you are a lovely owner for Howie, and you are both perfect for one another Bill!

Thanks Melville. :thanks:
Hope everything is going well today.
I’ve been with out power most of the day.
All my updates for Heaven’s Shore’s are on my Tablet, no internet with out power.
Not like the phone.
Stacey just texted me an update.
Hopefully by 4:30. If you believe them.
Too bad because it’s not freezing today.
Would have been great to get a room tiled. :surf:
But I can’t work in the dark. ;)
Glad to see you flying along in your garden.
Makes me smile. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Hopefully I’ll pop beans soon.
Take care my friend. :passitleft:

Ooooh no jenny?
Yeah but I put it back in the shed.
Wasn't energetic enough to drag it out if power is coming back on.
It's on now. :thumb:
Thanks Buddy.

What I should have done was cut rhe two big colas with little bits of mould and dry them when Insaw this morning. But panicked and my farmer mate here said in this climate just do the plants - the mould is because its dying and will spread. It was day 64 of 63 recommended so yeah maybe gould have gone another week but first ever time just went for caution. Plus the advice is from a 30 year commercial farmer in region so yeah 🤷🏽

Some pics

Merry top two, Angus bottom two. The colas with white were cleaned and hung separately. Bit more trimmed from Angus before hanging. They’re very dry and sticky already so waiting to trim.

They have a swing fan, inline on low and the dehumidifier is keeping them at 50% (was a little lower under lights) Seems like its an OK return so far in volume. Need to see how it dries and cures and of course smokes!

EDIT fan was moved up after that.

It just seems like so much more than a first time grower deserves. Those trays are 50cm - 22” across to give a sense of scale. Think I could have maybe given them a little longer/stronger but didn't want to risk the white stuff spreading.

Quite emotional really. They weren’t treated great either with building going on and light stress at times so feel like that’s a pretty good return and now what am I going to do they’re dead? Oh that’s it - have training nets to setup on the next 20 😅

Good morning.
What You want is just minimal air movement.
Not a fan blowing in there.
If you are running a dehumidifier that's enough air movement.
Too much dries them too quickly.
No light preferably.
Keep it dark.
Congratulations Amigo. :woohoo:
Your first harvest.
Did you press a fan leaf from one of them?
Souvenir ?

Nothing wrong with saving what you have before it get ruined.
If I had of chopped right away I'd have doubled my haul.
My first experience with rot, it's no joke.
Something to be taken seriously.
Congrats.

I actually read your post in Heaven Shores on rot after posting that and thought wow - glad I did go early.

My spidey sense must have been a tingling but all the Zoap I’ve smoked in the last day has messed with me!

Left one style. Its says Nitrogen so it depends on the thread size for where your Co2 is coming from. You don’t care about flow rate other than a bit of of dialling in with a finger dial on the reg. the glass bits either with a ball in or liquid just go wrong. Trust me. But you want an electronic controller with sensor. I have two Inkbird t500 or something, about $150USD You plug the solenoid on the reg into the power strip and the connected sensor sitting at canopy level switches it off when it hits say 1300ppm and then your inline extractor comes on, when it hits 800pm the inline goes off and the gas come on again. That’s a good balance of elevated Co2 whilst keeping some air circulation. When lights go off so does Co2 and the extractor fan can run all “night”

We’ll see what I get from the pics above but I had some issues giving them gas all through flower but when I did they were visibly bigger every 6 hours - BUT ambient temps are high here and they were totally swamped with 730w of light from a Mars Hydro FC6500 which helped!

EDIT - go for the hydro one in the middle. Its @VIVOSUN so probably better than my experience. And safer than messing around with something calibrated for Nitrogen. But vivosun don’t make a controller so use Inkbird.

I promise give me a couple of days and I’ll write a thread on Co2 as there isn’t much here (or anywhere) on smaller grows. But I promise it can be amazing and easy.

Nice. Love the round hanger things. Nice haul man. Yeah, don’t mess around with bud rot. That crap will spread like wildfire. Lol.

Hit the drop down menu.

Choose what pics you want.
Then save I think.
Then you will have to label them .
Tag if you want.
Then save at the bottom.

Good work Bill, and thanks for taking us along with your build!
Thanks for dropping in.:high-five:
Between shoveling snow, hauling firewood and crawling around doing tile my poor old bones are aching.
It's been fun to do a bit of building again.
I enjoyed that job.
Every day was something different, always learning.
Guess that's why I enjoy growing now.
Keeps the old noodle moving. ;)
I've got to pick up a breaker and just pop in a couple plugs I think and I can go live finally.
And I think my heater has sucked in too much drywall compound.
It might need to retire so I need that floor on asap.
Hope everything is going well with you my friend.
Take care.

Your grow room looks beautiful Bill, beautiful work. Wish I had a room like that, definitely next level. Bill I wanna get photos, does Herbies have a distributor in the states and if so what strains do you recommend, you know of any decent sativa strains that don’t grow over 4 feet. My friend wants me to grow her sativa, my indica doesn’t give her incentive to clean the house during the day lol .
And to me you can’t beat falling asleep in front of a fire after shoveling snow, it used to be what winter was about where I live , doesn’t seem to get below freezing too often anymore
