Purple Pics

That's interesting. I would have thought the more sunlight the better. But saying that, on my own outdoor balcony location the plants only ever get direct sun light in the afternoons so I guess my plants are growing in the 'restricted light camp' where they still seem to do fine so maybe there is something to it.
It kind of makes some sense but I’d like to see some scientific data on it before doing anything different from the norm. CL🍀

OMG Bill! That green shag that covered every apartment in SoCal back in the day? One wood panel wall maybe?:passitleft:
I forgot about paneling.
Green shaggy and paneling my parents rec room to a Tee.
There's got to be tons of it in a landfill somewhere.
Everyone had shaggy back then.
Don't miss it.
Have a great weekend Fred.
Take care.

I just read something very interesting on another site saying that anything more than 6/2 hrs of lighting was wasteful. That weed is only is photosensitive for 6 hrs and without a 2hrs break your just wasting light + electricity. Anyone else know if this is true? CL🍀
Not sure what you mean by more than 6/2 ? 3 hrs?

Hahaha - when we bought the house nearly new it was part furnished. It had been an airbnb type place. It was under the kitchen table and our then puppy Labrador took a liking to it 😅

After a clean and letting her grow up a bit I moved it upstairs. The rest of the house is polished concrete floor so its nice to have a different texture. But yeah - lego bricks/toy soldiers barefoot hurt!

Reading about it the suggestion is in an 18/6 situation you do 6 on 2 off 6 on 2 off 6 on 2 off to get 24 hours.

So can’t see its any good for photos just autos or maybe during veg for photos?

DeeBeeBee
The dark period produces a hormone causing flowering.
Interrupting it presents flowering.
For photos only.
In veg to prevent the buildup of this chemical I used something called twilight.
Not enough darkness to produce the hormone.
But not enough light for photosynthesis, twilight. :thumb:
I was probably into a few months experimenting with it before the fire.
And of course all my notes and measurements are gone.
But I was having success with improving growth rate over 24/0.
I tired various light schedules over the years looking for improvement.
Twilight seemed to be working.
Take care.
