Purkles Return

Now on to the 18/02/18 where I did some more training with the photoperiods, specifically I Supercropped the base of both Kings Kush', topped and Supercropped Florence the SD and used the ponytailing technique too to get that bottom growth up. For me this is painful. I'm generally a patient person but I always want to keep playing with training. I've learnt the key is patience and understanding of the fact the plant needs to recover and adjust.

And then there's Raggamuffin lagging behind:

Just a few shots using the new app on the 25/02/18 of the furthest flowering auto, the Critical Kush.

She's starting to bulk out a little and I've been upping the flower feed nutes slowly but all 3 autos are lapping it up with no issues.

And finally an update from today :)

We will start with the flowering autos. I've just been doing some light training with the Critical Kush and Pineapple Express by tying some branches a little to allow light to the lower bud sites. Both are short but already look like they're going to yeild some fat buds.

The Critical Kush will get one more feed then a midway flush (I would personally recommend flushing halfway through the flower cycle as I have found the buds bulk up a bit). Then I will continue with the nutes until she has finished flowering. The Pineapple is still a couple weeks away from her midway flush and the Blue Mammoth is still well into her stretch so I've just been doing some light defoliations and feeding with flower nutes as she isn't as far along as the other 2. She really is a bushy plant with bud sites everywhere!

And lastly the photoperiods:

The training is almost complete with the two Kings Kush who have taken really well to training. This strain is a dream to grow. I'll be raising the Sour Diesels above the Kings Kush by a few inches so I can get a level canopy ready for the switch to 12/12.

Raggamuffin the Sour Diesel got repotted, topped and Supercropped like the rest. She's doing well and I'm expecting her to be a little shorter than her sister, Florence, who is feverishly creating new growth as I defoliate her but Raggamuffin will still be a decent yeilder. Both the Sour Diesels will still get some more Supercropping on the higher branches to promote the growth below and defoliationa but otherwise I won't be doing much else besides tying the highest tops down to ensure an even canopy.

And finally a group shot: (Sorry about the blurple but I'll get some decent shots when I switch the photos and harvest the autos)

That's all for now!

I couldn't resist taking some bud shots when I was in tent earlier! Loving that frost and all the colours. It gets cold enough during lights out that I can get some of those dark green and purples from the leaves.

Both the Critical Kush and Pineapple Express autos had their midway flush on Thursday. You can see the buds filling out nicely :)

And the Blue Mammoth is in her last stage of stretch and is plodding along nicely:

The 19L fabric pots finally arrived and the two Kings Kush photoperiods have been potted up and have taken well.

The Sour Diesels are about a week or two behind so they'll get their repotting soon.

My next update will probably be around harvest time for the Critical Kush auto where I'll get some pictures of the harvest and the repotted photoperiods.

Peace ✌️

Beauty shots! Love them trunks;) great job man they look real heathy

Thanks Newty :). I'm quite proud of my auto training. Definitely don't get as much time to train them as photoperiods though buy I'm happy with the results :)

I thought I would add another post before harvest on the Pineapple Express and Critical Kush autos quickly as we are in the last stretch for these two.

I do usually do this with my photoperiods but I have given both autos their last defoliations and trained all the main stems over to the sides so the light hits those bottom nugs to aid their bud growth.

It's looking like the Pineapple will come down before the Critical, even though the CK is further ahead in flower, she's actually a little behind as there are a few lower branches lagging behind in flowering while the highest colas are stacking out from the flush.

I can't decide if I should chop the finished colas and leave the rest to carry on or if I should just leave the whole thing until those late bloomers catch up.

Id love love some opinions from anyone that's had the same situation with autos? Although judging by the activity on this thread I don't hold much hope :(.

Anyway! Some pictures for you all :)

Thanks SF :). I think I'll chop the ones that are ready and leave the rest to go at it since I quite like the trimming bit and I'll have to some to smoke when the rest gets chopped :D:rollit:

Hello all :),

The day is upon us and harvest has come but more on that later.

A few update to start us off I think.

I had a little photoshoot if the Pineapple and Critical in normal light and defoliations of my Kings Kush girls (18/03/2018).

Pineapple Express auto:

Critical Kush auto:

I tend to do defols in stages depending on the size of the plant and the stage its at. Since the King Kush are in veg and have a decent size on them I've gone with a 2 stage defol starting from the bottom up. Sounds odd but it works out well giving the lower growth time to come up higher while the next set gets a defol about a week later.

More to come :ganjamon:

Next up on the 25th I gave another defol to the Kings Kush and a light one to the two sour diesels and took some bud shots of the pineapple express again.

I apologise about the blurple!

And the trim!

And some Blurple Bud porn of the Pineapple express:

And just to leave you with a group shot of the photos

Finally the tasty segment of my updates...

The first auto harvest (01/04/2018)

We have harvested half of the Critical Kush and most of the Pineapple express autos after 2 weeks of flush and my did they swell .

And some closeups with the CK first and Pineapple second:

And finally a group shot...

The rest will come down in about 2 and half weeks after a feed or two and the flushes so it's back on the tent with the ladies.

And the final update from me until the last part of the CK and Pineapple harvest!

As you can see the auto girls are back in the tent and I added my 300w to the mix a couple weeks ago.

Critical Kush auto:

Pineapple Express auto:

These two will finish off in the next couple weeks of which I will try and squeeze a light feed or two before the 2 week flush and 3 days darkness.

Next up is the Blue Mammoth who was having some issues with nutes but is all good now after a couple flushes with fresh water. She is well into her flower and got a defol a about a week ago but this girl has a fair few weeks ahead of her.

And lastly we have the two sets of photoperiods in their temporary places before the autos are done and I can get them into their last positions before switch.

The two Kings Kush are doing swimmingly after the 2 defoliations stages and has responded by giving me loads of bud site shoots. I'll let her bush up a little more before switching and so the Sour Diesels can catch up.

Although the Sour Diesels are stretchy, their internode growth is slow in comparison to the Kings Kush but they've both been getting gradually defoliations when I can see some obvious fan leaves coming through.

And I'll leave you all with one final group shot.

Until next harvest folks :rollit::yummy::ganjamon:
