Purchasing Security

I’m confused....

I was one of those people.... but for having 1/4lb in 2001. They tried to give me 65 years SJ DFD, but “settled” on 5 years.

Where is your statement coming from exactly?
:Namaste:

It appears that Teddy cleaned up Chris' original reply, but didn't clean up the rest of this thread.

Let me see if I can explain.

The new member was asking a legitimate question about safety and security purchasing genetics with a credit card. These are very real concerns that many of us still face, as it is still not legal in all states, and still illegal at the federal level. We realize some of you may live in a legal state and/or maybe have not much to lose, however think about the federal employee who lives in an illegal state who owns a huge house, lots of cars, big bank account, 5 kids, etc. That person has a LOT to lose, including their job and their freedom, and the lives of their kids who would get sent to foster care to get abused. Plus banking is federal, so it's a very legit question. Therefore, we feel that someone who went through our hiring process and was trained our our ethics, guidelines and protocols, and understands how serious we take things here, would never treat a brand new member, or any member for that fact, in this way.

Here is what he said...

Huh???

Lights, tents, nutes etc are all designed for indoor hydroponics growing, like veggies, not just weed

No one is watching your CC purchased but you

Now if yer that paranoid now..what about when u start growing

MIND BLOWN!!!!

Furthermore, Chris has been acting as sort of an unofficial staff member, hyper aggressively telling people what they can and cannot do here, in a very authoritative way. We've discussed this a couple of times asking him to report things instead and let us handle it, however still see it happening.

We have a new zero tolerance for aggression, bullying and trolling now, calling people out publicly to stop enabling the behavior. When we clean it all up, they just keep doing it over and over and over again, so we feel this is the last straw before intense behind the scenes discussions and removing access. We used to call members and give them a chance to change, but don't have time for that anymore. There are simply too many of you and not enough of us, so we have to be creative and resourceful how to retain a member and alter their behavior at the same time. It's not easy, but we do our best and almost always go the extra mile for anyone who shows they can be humbled and align with us and our mission in our house. 420 Magazine was founded almost 30 years ago based solely on activism and is still our core mission.

We truly appreciate everything you do to help us, our mission and our members Chris, however we're going to need you to bump things down a few notches and rethink how you can achieve our collective mission here. :thanks:

Oh... I wasn’t even on that subject... we started talking about the legality of shooting someone that broke into you’re house with the intent to steal your stash.
I honestly wasn’t engaged in the CC conversation.
I guess that’s where the confusion was on my part.

I still didn't read Chris's reply as "trolling" but I did see someone on the staff call Chris out for "trolling" which in and of itself = bullying. Of course that's just how I see it.

@AdaminCO - on the shooting someone for trying to steal your stash. Yeah the ATF and DEA will for sure be involved and you go to prison for using a weapon when in possession of a class 1 narcotic (cannabis). Sad but true still and not only that you will likely be convicted of a class 1 felony. You don't want that.

It's this:

Guns + drugs = crime

Thats it. Don't mix the 2. Its crazy. The cops will say the law is there to put "dealers" in jail but we all know that most cannabis users are not gun toting "dealers". Quite the opposite. So why these laws on the books?

Answer = Nixon and the war on drugs +
= Ray-gun for the mandatory minimum stupidity.

That plus sounds like you have a prior conviction for cannabis (drugs) and likely your "legal" gun ownership status wood have been forfeited at time of conviction??

I'm not against gun ownership and certainly not against cannabis possession. I'm against the laws that make these 2 illegal.

I sometimes use my credit card to purchase hemp seed! Completely legal for now.

The point I was making was that I wouldn’t be asking what they were after...

It ended up a NFOG upon completion, so after the 5 were done, I was able to posses again. That was in 2000-2001... I’m sure laws have changed.

OK cool yeah I understand that for sure. Glad you made it out sorry to hear.

Shoulda never happened.

I was always really freaked about owning a hand gun or rifle with weed in my possession. Pretty sure its a ticket for mandatory minimum at least it was in PA where I used to live. Now in NY state and gun laws here are even more strict so I haven't looked.

I'm with you someone enters our home un-invited for sure its NOT going to be "how can I help you?"

We have dogs for that.

One of my dogs gets shot or shot at well then its not going to end well. I should probably get a cannabis card. lol

Still going to be a tough sell to the DA I'd likely be heading to jail for protecting my family even if there were shots fired AT us first in our own home. It ain't right but probably the way it goes down.

It all gets back to:

Weed + gun = jail

Thats a federal law. To own a gun you get asked if you are a cannabis user. IF you answer yes you dont get the gun. If you answer no and you then get caught with cannabis you can go to jail for the unlawful gun ownership and the unlawful cannabis with a gun. Thats a 15 year stint. Of course there are other legal ways of gun ownership besides getting a back round check. Not for hand guns. I wood guess you gave up your guns then went to jail paid your debt to society they give you your guns back. I doubt they do that anymore but I couldn't say for sure.

Not worth the gun for me - dogs FTW.

Yeah I wonder how that would work here in CO.

Legal locked down indoor grow.
Unrelated (to weed) burglary happens and the intruder gets shot/killed in your bedroom trying to tie up your wife and kid.

They just need to legalize the shit.
I was 17/18 when my thing happened. Imagine if I was unable to hire a lawyer and the 65yr DFD SKF was decided on.

All over a qp. That charge stills haunts me because the FBI didn’t update their records, or the county didn’t provide them with the disposition.

I was denied a $120k salary job at Citi because of it 2 years ago. FDIC so they ran a fed check, saw it, and said never mind. 17 years later. Smh.
